The Blame Game

How to ensure next time won’t be like last time.

Own it
Rethink it
Release it

There’s nothing to own…it wasn’t your fault!

Your best bet for a successful future is to own your share of the past.

Genesis 1:26 NLT
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
Genesis 1:27 NLT
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:28 NLT
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
Genesis 3:9 NLT
Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
Genesis 3:10 NLT
He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”
Genesis 3:11 NLT
“Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?”
Adam said, Yes I did. And I take full responsibility for my actions. Do with me what you will, but leave Eve out of this, she’s innocent!”
Genesis 3:12 NLT
The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.”
Genesis 3:13 NLT
Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?” “The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”

You can’t blame your way into a better future.

Blame enable us to smuggle our issues into our future.

Blame sets us up for a repeat performance.

Matthew 5:8 NLT
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.
