Love, defend, provide, inspire, relate, understand, heal, partner, trustworthy, affectionate, patient, kind, respectful, attentive, compassionate, empathetic, open, capable, safe.
These are all qualities that one would want to expect from a good father. These are not always, nor ever completely the quality of any human father. Although in sincerity, good fathers would strive to be this for their children, in the imperfect and sin-cursed world in which we live, they all....the all fall short — miss the mark.
One of the most fundamental characteristics of a good father is that he provides.

Luke (3) The Holy Spirit
In comparison to Mark (six times) and Matthew (twelve times), Luke referred to the Spirit at least seventeen times in his Gospel; and to this we can add such references that refer to the Spirit as “power” or “promise.” It is above all in Acts, however, where we encounter most strongly this Lukan emphasis. Here the Spirit is referred to approximately seventy times, and specific reference is made to the “Holy Spirit” over forty times. This Lukan theological emphasis is present from Luke 1 through Acts 28.
The Apostle Paul related the same dependence on the Holy Spirit to have what you need that you cannot get on your own in Romans 8.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.
