I. A righteous man fears God . (1:1,8;31:23;Prov. 1:7;2:5;9:10;10:27;14:26-27;19:23)

• A. Understands that God is our maker . (31:15)
• B. Understands that our God is our judge . (31:2-6, 13-14, 28; Rom 14:12; 31:23)

II. A righteous man avoids evil . (1:1,8;31:1; Ja. 1:13-15).

• 31:7-8-our heart should not be led by our eyes !

III. A righteous man lives honestly. (31:5-6; 33-34; Prov. 11:3; Col. 3:9-10).

• This isn't just an issue of merely telling the truth.
• It's a matter of living truthfully.

IV. A righteous man lives treats others with love and respect.(31:12-14, 38-40, 16-22, 29-32).

V. A righteous man maintains a healthy view of things. (31:24-28;Prov. 23:4-5; II Pet. 3:10; I Jn. 2:15-17).

• Are you trusting things or God ?
• God allows each of us to choose our course in life ,
• and to change our course when necessary .
• How will God and others describe me?
