The vision is to have a youth group “IN CHRIST” with their eyes on the millennium. Because there is a person sitting upon the throne in the millennium that we must give our lives to.
To have a generation that has a heart for God: now, after graduation, and in the millennium.
To have a group of young people that understands what it means to be in Christ, to know their gifts, and to know how to use them.
To exercise their gifts

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
to be in Christ
How is this accomplished?
Figuring out and exercising spiritual gifts
4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Enriched by his grace
Made wealthy by his grace in
utterance
knowledge
Continue to verse 6
What does this mean for our speech and knowledge. It is made stable through Christ. IF we try to add reason or worldly wisdom to stablish our speech and knowledge it is like building a house on sand. We must allow the word of God and the spirit of God to have free reign in us.
Verse 7 this is the meat of the beginning of this chapter. Let’s sink our teeth into it.
So that we come behind in no gift. Or that we are not lacking in any gift.
Spiritual gifts are broken into two categories.
Gifts to use
Gifts that have been given to us by way of talents or intellect from the Lord.
Also used in
Romans 11:29, Romans 12:6, I Corinthians 12:4, I Corinthians 12:9, I Corinthians 12:28, I Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6,
Gift to receive
Salvation
also used in
Romans 6:23.
Figuring out these gifts is of the utmost importance. By fulfilling our divine purpose by using God’s gifts we will be firmly planted right where God wants us.
We have a culture that pushes this off till later in life but we must have a generation that is firmly grounded in the scripture and the spirit hit the ground running even before college using their gifts that God has given them.
80% of college students change their major at least one time
All of the apostles, except for Peter, were arguably under 20 years old with John the beloved being the youngest potentially around age 12
How do they figure out this gift?
Be undivided
verse 10 no divisions that ye are perfectly joined together
