Should we leave the SBC?

Why should we stay in the SBC?
Missions - The SBC sends hundreds of missionaries overseas to share the Gospel and plant churches. We see this as a part of our fulfilling the great commission.
Education - The SBC funds six seminaries that train men and women for ministry. Those who are members of SBC churches are able to attend those seminaries at a significant discount.
Backing - The SBC provides a confession of belief in the Baptist Faith and Message. It provides help in troubled times through associations, state conventions., and possibly even legal representation.
Why should we leave the SBC?
There is some question about what is taught in our seminaries.
Some seminary professors have taught CRT as a helpful analytical tool.
We don’t see what our money does.
This is as much our fault as the SBC’s, but even so our money goes into a fund and then we don’t see what happens to it. We don’t even know the people who use it for whatever purpose.
NAMB has given money to start church only to have those churches turn around and leave.
We don’t see what our missionaries do.
We don’t know what a pastor is.
We define this in the BFM but are unwilling to hold churches to it.
We don’t want to have churches subscribe to the Southern Baptist Faith and Message in order to be in proper cooperation.
If they don’t subscribe to the BFM, then how do we know what beliefs we share?
Or is it that we just share funds and not beliefs?
If that’s the case, how do we know what ‘gospel’ is being shared all around the world.
Pragmatism.
Plagiarism.
Are things getting better or worse?
On the women as pastors issue. Worse. Inaction is seen as permission.
On the use of funds, I still think we have questions.
On missionaries disconnected from churches, it’s still an issue but again as much our fault than theirs.
On the matter of cooperation, I don’t think we ever plan on holding churches to the BFM let alone the Bible.
Faithfulness to God above all is the aim.
Cooperation is admirable but not as important as faithfulness.
Next Steps
Pray. Meet. Pray.
Reallocate funds to association or state convention.
