Four Things Which Will Not Be in Hell

Luke 16:19–31

I hope you are not going to Hell. The wicked are:

Psalm 9:17 TELLS US: “17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God,” and all men outside of Christ are wicked, Paul writes in,

Romans 3:10–12 10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”

Some say, really many say “I don’t care if I go to Hell or not.” Well, I believe that by the time I finish preaching this message , you will care.

I. The first thing that There will not be, there will be no rest in Hell.

A. The condition of Hell will be everlasting fire;

Matthew 18:8–9 8 “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

So those of you who want to “pick and choose” their scripture they want to follow and believe, I would recommend to start following ALL of God’s word, it is for us to live by.

Mark 9:47–49 “47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire—48 where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’ 49 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.”

B. The continuance of Hell will be without rest; Scripture says it will never cease! Never!

Luke 16:23–24 23 “And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

Are you ready for this church? We want to believe, wait, pray, for God’s Holy Grace and Blessings. He tells us in Revelations.........

Revelation 14:10–11 “10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

II. Next, Secondly There will be no revelation in Hell.

A. It is asserted. “Outer darkness, no rest, no comfort, no luxuries.....”;

Matthew 8:12 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 22:13 “13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 25:30 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

B. It is argued. “How can Hell be a place of darkness with all its flame and fire?”

C. It is answered. Hell can be a place of flame and fire to the senses and yet be utter darkness to the soul!

D. It is assured to us, The sinner, you and I were in darkness;

Ephesians 5:8 “8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light Christ is the Light;

John 8:11–12 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Now listen church, are you listening?

To reject Christ is to be in darkness forever, we can be upset at Jesus, we can be impatient with Jesus, we can even ignore Jesus however we read in:

Jude 13 “13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.”

If we reject Jesus, we will be in darkness forever. Did you all hear that? We will dwell in Hell forever.

III. Thirdly, There will be no redemption in Hell.

A. Beyond the help of the passionate Christ;

Job 36:18 “18 Because there is wrath, beware lest He take you away with one blow; For a large ransom would not help you avoid it.”

Ephesians 1:7-9 “7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,”

Peter tells us in: 1 Peter 1:8–9 “8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

B. Beyond preaching about Christ;

1 Corinthians 1:21–22 “21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom”

Isn’t there a “show me state?” Why is that? Some of us, doubters like Doubting Thomas, don’t want to believe anything or anyone’s word about anything do they? Do you ever wander if they are really the ones who “stretch the truth a little? No wonder they don’t believe anything, they speak no truth do they?

C. Beyond the pardon of Christ. There will be no salvation in Hell; 2 Corinthians 6:1–2 “1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Isn’t is amazing the timing of events through God? I remember the quotes I have heard in my past or even used. “your so lucky,” I can’t believe you thought of that, or the more voiceterous, NO WAY! I did not always take notice what God was doing in my life.

IV. There will be no recess in Hell.

When we think of recess, what comes to your mind? A fun time, a break, a time to laugh and talk to friends, a time to ‘destress.”

No recess in Hell? What? There are some choices and decisions we need to be making now church.

A. Here on earth suffering is temporary. I know that’s hard to believe sometimes, The greatest sufferer has the hope that some new cure, some new medication, some new physical therapy, can reach him soon and relieve him even save him.

B. In Hell suffering will be timeless! On and on. Endless, never ending!

2 Thessalonians 1:8–10 “8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

Between you and Hell stands the cross of Christ. Come. Submit yourself to the crucified and risen Christ who is able to save you. You should then be able to say that the Lord Jesus Christ has delivered you from the wrath to come, the wrath of Hell. Until you are saved, you are lost and are ready to drop into Hell at any moment.

AMEN
