37 On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
38 The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”
39 He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
So Far we have seen that the Jesus the living water produces life through His love, joy, and peace.
His love give us great joy because we know we have been forgiven. Because we have been forgiven we can be at peace with God. If God has provided a way for mankind to no longer be his enemy then we must be patient with those who have not yet come to faith.
Anyone know what the word “Patience” means?
It means the “Ability to take a great deal of punishment from evil people or circumstances without losing one’s temper, without becoming irritated and angry, or without taking vengeance. It includes the capacity to bear pain or trials without complaint, the ability to forbear under severe provocation,”
I need 5 volunteers.
Today we are going to have to sit up here in front of everyone. Now the goal is for you all not to smile or laugh. The audience's job is to make you laugh. Here are a couple of rules. The audience has to stay seated. They also have to remain silent. They cannot make any noise. The last person to smile will earn the prize.
The Bible tells us that God is patient and that his patience is designed to lead us to Him.
4 Or do you despise the riches of his kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
22 And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?
23 And what if he did this to make known the riches of his glory on objects of mercy that he prepared beforehand for glory—
