This week we watched the Supreme Court shoot down the rule of a horribly decided ruling of Roe V. Wade. Which in essence took away the rights of the states to decide on all things abortion, and pushed them to the Federal level.
The Affects - according to By Brian Clowes, PhD | January 26, 2022
The statistic is sobering: As of February 2021, there have been over 62 million legal surgical and medical abortions in the United States.
The worst year was 1990 with 1,608,600 abortions; since then, the number of abortions has declined almost every year to the current level of just under 900,000 annually, partly due to never-ending pro-life efforts and partly due to the “ripple effect” of having fewer young women who are aborting. This phenomenon is itself a reflection of the sad fact that there are fewer young women because many of their would-have-been mothers were themselves aborted 20 to 25 years ago.
Abortionists have killed a number of children more than the combined populations of eighteen states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Washington. and Wyoming. A map of the US with all of these states blacked out is a real attention-grabber. This gives an audience some idea of the colossal magnitude of the abortion disaster. [picture]
In reality, most abortions are performed for reasons that have nothing to do with either the mother’s or the baby’s health. An article in the journal BMC Women’s Healthdiscusses research conducted with respondents who were asked about reasons why they had abortions. Forty percent said they were not financially prepared. Thirty-six percent said they had the abortion because the timing was bad, they were not ready, or the pregnancy was unplanned. Twenty-nine percent said they wanted to focus on other children. Twenty percent said they wanted to focus on career or school. Only 12% said they were concerned about their health or the baby’s health—and that included reasons such as drug addiction, alcohol use, tobacco use, or the use of medications.
Further, the reports that just 1% of women who have an abortion have it because they became pregnant as a result of rape, and fewer than 0.5% have an abortion because of incest. Recent data from the CDC shows similar results.
Thus, we see that abortion has become nothing more than a social eraser for embarrassing situations, since 85.7 % of all abortions are performed on unmarried women.

The History
one article on the study of ancient forms of abortion point out that there were methods as far back as Egypt and grew from each generation...
Greece notably had a plan for abortion.
Abortions were generally performed by midwives rather than doctors. Hippocrates recommended three categories of abortion methods:
[We are not benefited by the consideration of such methods.]
An accumulative approach was said to guarantee the desired result. The first category was supposed to weaken the embryo, the second to open the womb and the third to stimulate the expulsion of the embryo.
Sadly the author seemingly undecided on the morality of such practices does make a telling statement.
“The attitude of the Romans was similar to that of the Greeks: succession was desirable so long as it guaranteed the inheritance and care in old age.”

Text: Luke 20.22-26
A trick for Jesus. Should we pay our taxes? This is not just a statement of taxes this was a test to see if they could accuse Jesus of dissenting the authority of Rome.
The end game was to take Jesus to the magistrates and hold him responsible for public calls of tyranny against the government.
Make no mistake about this this question was always bigger than money it was how did Jesus view the authority of Rome in the life of those that follow Jesus.
Jesus too cunning for such foolishness pushes this back to its proper context.
Whose image is on the coin? - Ceasar than let him have what he has rights too.
Then Jesus goes further and then why would he. Render unto God the thing that are Gods’.
What is Jesus discussing here. He is speaking of something that bears his image. Something that resembles him.
Man is in the image of God
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
Likeness of God
Life is about God
Children are a gift from the Lord
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:
And the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Leah
And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.
Rachel
And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.
Hannah
Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord.
Sarah
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Creation
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
All was made by him and for him.
What about Rape
I am totally against such a wicked deviance I would support capital punishment for that as well as murder. I have no ambiguity about that. What I am not for is capital punishment for the child in your womb. He did not commit the crime so putting to death the baby makes no sense what so ever.
What about deformity
Well I think that the argument could be made that all of us are deformed the question is to what degree.
Secondly,
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Because life may be more difficult doesn’t mean the life has lost its value. You will hear a lot of people in the next few weeks argue that suffering is the reason to murder the child.
This of all things reminds us that we as a nation are not better than the those that worshipped Moloch.
Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
The problem with this logic is that a mother’s career, comfort, and happiness are the ultimate good. American’s have for 50 years worshiped at the altar of convience. And My children’s generation will look at abortion with the same disgust and slavery and the holocaust.
Gospel points to life
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The role of the government
Remember caesar. He does have a job according to God.
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
The government is supposed to be standing up for good and fighting against wrong. In the months ahead we will listen to states taking one side or another on this issue. Which is where we want this conversation. But let us never forget our answer is not resting on the child Ours is an issue of theology. What God calls right is right and what God calls evil is evil.
So we will stand on the side of God getting what is properly HIS - Life.
