Ask kids a question. Who knows what it means to compromise your values?
Ask kids a question. Who knows what it means to compromise your values?
Give my thoughts on what it means.
Your core values are your belief system. These beliefs control how you make decisions in your life. For example, if you do not appreciate it when someone lies to you but then you tell your friend, or parents a lie, you have just compromised one of your values.
Simply be aware of the fact that when you compromise your core values, the consequences will eventually have a detrimental effect on your well-being. Stress, anxiety, and worry about making the right decision in any circumstance can lead to a lack of sleep, poor nutrition habits, and feelings of low self-worth.
Think about what it does to your relationship with Jesus.
Dear younger me,
My moms values.
Growing up in a church I hated, boring crazy teachings. God wasn’t love, he was there to punish you. Do something wrong and wait for got to kick your teeth in. I didn’t see God as love.
I wish I would have took the time to find out for myself, because just my gut feeling was this wasn’t right.
As a youth I went to a church with a friend, got saved but was embarrassed by it at school. I didn’t want to be the “church kid. “
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
I wish I had someone who would have told me that.
4:17 knows the good . . . doesn’t do it, it is sin. Sin is both disobeying God and failure to obey God.
Dear younger me. I wish I could tell myself don’t cave to wanting to be the cool kid/group. Stay the course with God, and you could change not only yourself but so many others.
Sadly this carried on into my high school years. Drinking, rebuking God, bad grades just being an idiot.
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life..
This is not just negatively but positively.
2 Corinthians 9:6
Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Dear younger me. What I want you to know is God is amazing. He wants to enrich your life in so many ways, just seek him, don’t hid from him. Let him in your heart!!!
Students, don’t be like younger me! I was an idiot who had no back bone.
Don’t chase the “In crowd. Don’t chas the cool kids, Chashe JESUS!.
