Jeremiah 19:10-14

God wants you to be a super hero.

I.       God Himself has developed a plan for you

(NIV) Jeremiah 29 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

A.     God Himself developed the plan

1.      Emphatic I / I alone / I Myself know the plans

B.     A plan for prosperity

1.      Not want to harm you

C.     A future full of hope

II.    Independent on your worthiness

(NIV) Jeremiah 29 10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place.

A.     To people under judgment

B.     Yet God plans to turn it around

III. If you only seek Him

(NIV) Jeremiah 29 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.

A.     Come to Him asking

1.      “You must turn to me and ask for my help, then I will hear you”

2.      Turn to him for help.

3.      Choice to come

4.      Must truly seek Him

B.     He will respond

1.      Listen  - It means to heed or to respond to,

2.      he will himself take action and make it possible for them to find him (emphatic)

C.     He will restore

1.      I will let you find me. If serious

2.      Restore the broken life


 

IV. So passionately Seek Him

A.     Aggressively reject the other options

The Message 1 Timothy 6 11–12     But you, Timothy, man of God: Run for your life from all this.

B.     Pursue His life of wonder

The Message 1 Timothy 6 11 … Pursue a righteous life—a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy.

C.     Pursue Him and His path

The Message 1 Timothy 6 12 Run hard and fast in the faith. Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to, the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses.

D.    Share the truth with others

(NKJV) 1 Timothy 2 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

1.      He desires all to come to Him

2.      Only one way to God
