Daniel 7:21–28 KJV 1900

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

We live in a world of postmodernism. In other words, “He’s got a truth, she’s got a truth, they’ve got a truth, and we’ve got a truth.”

And as time goes on, it becomes increasingly difficult to see clearly as to what you can hold on to, be sure of, and rely on. But I’m thankful that there are just some things that God has established that nobody can do anything about. Some truths.

And they’re not THEIR TRUTHS, and THESE PEOPLE’S truths… the fact is: if there’s any truth, it’s HIS TRUTH.

I’m going to talk about three such truths today. “Three Simple Truths of the Endtime.”

Complexity and the Spirit of the Antichrist

Complexity

I’ve spent some time recently, marvelling at the increasing complexity of our world.

It’s truly amazing just how fast technology and progress are moving today. Now, I’m going to take you on a short journey in thought to see if we can grasp what I’m talking about.

I was pondering this over with dad the other day on the way to the district campground: Do you realize that just a little over 100 years ago, if you wanted to get somewhere, you either went on foot or on horseback. Ladies and gentlemen, 120 or 140 years ago is not really that long at all. Maybe 3 generations ago - that’s it!

Fastforward to today… not only do we have comfortable, air-conditioned and fast cars… the expectation is that very quickly, self-driving cars are going to be flooding the roads.

So much has advanced… so much has changed in so short a time.

Whereas you always either had to mail in your bill payments or hand deliver them, over 60% of bills are paid online today.

At one point, mowing a lawn was a truly huge chore. Push mowers used to be all there were - that definitely wasn’t long ago. Now, I’ve got a zero-turn mower… I bust open my shed doors and run down my ramp with that thing… I’m ‘bout to let this neighborhood know who lives here, praise God! Feels like I’m driving at a monster truck rally or something. Wife thinks I’m certifiable for how I act. But I’m having a good time, alright.

So much has changed, right?

But, in the back of the mind of the Apostolic who is aware of the moral and spiritual changes taking place, they know that… not all of this is good.

Let me tell you something… they want to legalize every kind of drug, every sort of perverted action… at even the hint of the idea that the Supreme Court may be ruling that abortion is not a right under the constitution, millions are losing their minds and taking to the streets and we had one just the other day attempt to assassinate a sitting court judge for it.

“Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse...”

Technology is being released and not only released, but immediately accepted - before we even know the effects it’s going to have on humanity (most of all: morally).

Artificial Intelligence is an area of technology that has become a great interest worldwide. The simplest, most well-known version of this is Siri. It’s a “created intelligence”. And you can ask Siri anything, right? And it’s pretty useful.

As a matter of fact, I found out recently that Siri will show you that baptism is to be done in Jesus name and that the doctrine of the trinity is a made-up falsehood.

For real. Ask Siri, “When was the baptism formula changed?” And you’ll see…

So, it’s pretty useful, but how far are we going to take this? Trying to create intelligence… are we not playing God a little bit here?

Now I’m going to really freak you out… Facebook announced that they are changing their name to Meta. That is the parent company. And they are releasing the “metaverse”. Essentially, it’s a whole made-up world that you put a headset on and you live in.

And you can buy and sell in the metaverse. They fully expect that people will, in the next 20 years be spending more in the metaverse on things than they will in their physical lives. And they likely will. Everything people have is becoming digital: their relationships, their entertainment, their favorite things to do.

And so... you don’t have a nice car or house in the real world? You can in the metaverse. Don’t like your job? In the metaverse you can instantly have whatever fake job you want. You got a face only a mother could love? Look however you want in the metaverse!

But there’s something not right about it all… it’s out of touch with reality… it’s living as someone else instead of who God created you to be… it’s complicating life…

And… you want to talk about complicating life...

We’re just finishing up pride month in America… well, we’re not, but somebody is........

…pride goeth before the fall… but, moving on…

I can tell you this, I’m so thankful for a clear sound that we heard from our Pastor a few week ago, preaching about The Rainbow.

But… I’m old enough to remember when it was just LG. Then it became LGBT. Now it’s: LGBTQIA+, semicolon, forwardslash, apostrophe…

It becomes further, and further, and further complicating - confusion! A rule-less, role-less society.

There’s talk about gender fluidity and letting children choose as early as two or three what gender they want to be… Be the most “authentic” version of yourself. Anna can’t decide whether she wants to go #2 on daddy’s arm or roll her head in her spaghetti, but you want them to make decisions no one needs to make?

Listen to me: “Evil men and seducers will was worse and worse...”

You’ve got unrest and rioting worldwide… you’ve got an economy that is one more bad report from recession…

Is there anyone but me that feels as though it’s a spiraling chaos that’s taking place???

Let me ask this: is there anyone here who could say that in the last year or two you have felt somewhat “wore out” by what’s happening and what you see and hear???

Daniel 7:25 KJV 1900

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

I’m going to put my finger right on what you’ve been feeling: it’s the spirit of the antichrist that is at work in this world… to try to wear you out… to try and get you to feel that it’s hopeless… it’s useless… winning your family is out of reach… restoration is not possible… victory is not going to be seen...

There Is Still Simple Truth to Stand On

But let me speak something over this room right now: it’s NOT hopeless… it’s NOT useless… winning your family IS within reach!

My God, I feel such a prophetic spirit on me right now...

Restoration IS possible! Victory IS GOING to be seen!

Many are feeling the pressure. In life, even at the gas pump. But in the middle of all of this stress on people, God’s people stay under the blessing. In the land of Goshen.

When it’s closing time at a restaurant and someone walks up as they are cleaning up, they won’t be allowed in to eat. But you let someone who’s a regular show up, and the though in the mind of the workers is, “Oh, they’re a regular, we know them… go ahead and let them in to eat!” They are allowed in - they’re blessed!

During these crazy times, when some are being pushed out… I feel kind of like one of God’s regulars! I’m still feeling the blessing of the Lord!!!

...

Sometimes we want to let the devil just parade around and say whatever he wants to say and do whatever he wants to do. We’ve got to learn to combat him and treat him like the loser he is...

I’m calling on some saints to shake off that weariness that tries to grip us sometimes! You’ve been faithful! You’ve been doing right! And sometimes we get weary in well-doing! Shake that off! And walk in the boldness of the Holy Ghost!

...

What I’ve come to preach is that, with all of this complication that is compacting and growing wilder and crazier to us, there are still truths that we can stand on!

There are still some things that are never going to change - because OUR GOD WILL NEVER CHANGE! He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever; ALPHA and OMEGA; BEGINNING and END!

Three Simple Truths of the Endtime

With all of what’s going on, and all that’s still to come, here are three simple truths to hold onto…

I’m about to simplify our very existence as the church into what the real picture is...

1 - Jesus is coming back soon!

If you’re looking for something you can really hold onto… this first one is a fact that is a hope and a light for this day:

Jesus is coming back soon!

Hebrews 9:28 KJV 1900

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 NKJV

2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

It’s not going to be very long now!

There’s a lot of things in this world that we don’t feel any certainty about. It’s hard to find things to be sure about.

But if there is anything that I’m sure about in my spirit… if there’s anything that you can have hope in today… it’s in the detailed description we’re given of when Jesus is going to return!

Story of O.R. Fauss jumping to go up when he heard a jet burst through the sound barrier.

We’ve got to stand on what we know and we have to believe it deep down in our soul! We’ve got to have a deep-seated belief that Jesus is coming back, and it’s not going to be long!

2 - We better be ready!

The next one has something to do with the fact that He’s coming back soon…

The second truth is that: We better be ready!

Matthew 24:42–44 ESV

42 Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Do you want to know why Bro. Fauss had the faith to lift that leg up off the ground? Because he had made himself ready, and he knew Jesus would, in fact, be taking him when it was time!

Matthew 16:27 NKJV

27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

There’s another scripture that says it like this: He’s going to separate the sheep from the goats. Think about that for a minute, now… a goat’s master has to sit there and struggle with it. It’s stubborn and bull-headed. But a sheep follows it’s master and is not resisting like the goat. And He’s separating the sheep and the goats.

When that separation comes, I want to know that I’m ready!

Let me ask you this: Do you know that you know that you know that you’re ready?!

If you haven’t repented of your sins, been baptized in Jesus name, and received the Holy Ghost, that’s part of being ready!

But I’ll also say this… just because that has happened in you in the past doesn’t mean that you are saved today. We don’t believe “once saved always saved” because it’s not in Scripture anywhere. It’s the doctrine of eternal security. Most American churches preach and teach it but it’s wrong.

Revelation 2:10 KJV 1900

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Paul, the mighty and prayerful apostle we look to as an example, told the Corinthian church:

1 Corinthians 15:31 NKJV

31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

In order to remain right with God, Paul had to die out to himself and crucify his flesh (not one time at an altar, but MANY times).

I quote this next verse very often, but it’s so important to this all:

Romans 12:2 KJV 1900

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

“Renewing” means a continual thing that needs to happen. And it refers to the infilling of the Spirit.

Once saved always saved is a doctrine of devils, and I’m telling you, we’ve got to become close to God and have a continual relationship with Him. We need to repent and become right with Him often. We need refilled often… If you haven’t spoken in tongues in awhile, it’s time!

Because WE’VE GOT TO BE READY!!!

3 - We better be working!

But while we have to be ready, we have to be working. This is the third and final truth today. We better be working!

Matthew 9:36–38 NKJV

36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

God is in need of some faithful people to put their hand to the plow for His Kingdom!

Colossians 1:10 NKJV

10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Again, there’s a lot of work you could do and when you’re finished, feel like it was in vain. But when you work for the Lord, your labor is never in vain!

And God is in need of people who will be disciple-makers! Building people up! Growing people! Growing ourselves! Reaching out for others! Because we know He is coming back soon… we have to work!!!

At Junior Camp last week, Rhett Melton was in need of a miracle. As the Spirit fell in that room, my eyes found him in the altar. Faith was high for miracles. I made my way to him, but as I got close, I noticed a young man (a student, a camper) praying already for Rhett. His hand was on Rhett’s head and tears were pouring down his face. And it hit me in that moment… “Why do I have to be the one to pray the miracle into existence? Why can’t this young man do it?” And so instead of just praying for Rhett myself, I got in this camper’s ear and gave him instruction and prayed anointing over him to pray a healing prayer.

We have got to be intentional about our own growth and the growth of others around us! We’ve got some young people coming up that love God! And everyone here is capable of seeing signs and wonders through their faith!

Defeating the Spirit of the Antichrist

That spirit of the antichrist… we’ve got to resist it, because we’re going to be victorious!

Now watch this...

Psalm 23 KJV 1900

A Psalm of David. 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

It’s prophetic! He is, in fact going to prepare a table for us in the presence of the Antichrist!

There are some empty seats at the table! Is anyone going to fill your chair?!

Conclusion

It’s time to be bold and stand on truth in a time of uncertainty! Get a seat at the table!

Allow God to refill you and refresh you in a way that makes you ready and empowered to see signs and wonders!

Tell somebody: “In 60 seconds, I’m going to be a different person!”

Now, praise God like you’re about to be changed!
