Introduction

Within the medical community they use the word abortion to describe the abortions we think of when using the term but also when referring to operations done for miscarriages. Elective/induced abortion is the abortions to purposefully end the babies life. Then their are spontaneous abortions which we more commonly call miscarriage
Also let us all make sure to do these conversations in love.
Abortion is a moral issue, healthcare is a moral issue, Hippocratic Oath

I'm not pro-murdering babies.

What is a baby?
Is the baby inside the mother dead or alive? The baby is living and growing. Or they may say the baby isn’t yet human. Bring up the baby has human DNA. Since that baby isn’t yet human their should be nothing ethically wrong with taking that human embryo and placing it in the uterus of a dog? They are going to say this is absurd, but to get the point across and force them to come face to face with their poor logic.
Also though this statement alludes to abortion being murder, but “its ok” because of the following reasons we see in the post. I feel like a but should have followed this statement.

I'm pro-Becky who found out at her 20-week anatomy scan that the infant she had been so excited to bring into this world had developed without life sustaining organs.

by the 20 week mark you have a 5% chance of miscarrying, most happen before this point. Body has natural ways to handle a miscarriage. Sometimes a baby does have to be surgically removed after a miscarriage if the woman's body does not perform correctly. This is not ending a babies life. Roe vs Wade does not affect this type of operation.

I'm pro-Susan who was sexually assaulted on her way home from work, only to come to the horrific realization that her assailant planted his seed in her when she got a positive pregnancy test result a month later.

Less than half a percentage of abortions occur because of rape. The fact people use the misfortunes of others to push for agendas for their convenience makes me mad. Abortions in these cases are still not right.
It is beauty out of darkness. A child is a beautiful being no matter the circumstances.
This is punishing a child for the sins of their father and refusing them opportunity because of who their father was. That is discrimination.

I'm pro-Theresa who hemorrhaged due to a placental abruption, causing her parents, spouse, and children to have to make the impossible decision on whether to save her or her unborn child.

Again this is an uncommon circumstance. What is a placental abruption? This is when the placenta partially or completely separates from the uterus. Typically occurs in the last trimester (usually last few weeks). Usually from some type of trauma such as a car wreck. The doctor must do everything in his power to save both lives in this circumstance.

I'm pro-little Cathy who had her innocence ripped away from her by someone she should have been able to trust and her 11-year-old body isn't mature enough to bear the consequence of that betrayal.

10-14 year-olds give 0.2% of births. 0.2% of abortions are on people younger than 15. This person needs to be surrounded in great love. Counseling and extra medical attention, not an abortion. Again don’t use a misfortune to justify your leisure

I'm pro-Melissa who's working two jobs just to make ends meet and has to choose between bringing another child into poverty or feeding the children she already has because her spouse walked out on her.

This statement stuck out to me because it says another child. Again this is an example again of the child paying for the sins of the father. Their are other options, besides death.

I'm pro-Brittany who realizes that she is in no way financially, emotionally, or physically able to raise a child.

But yet your mature enough to be having sex? You know their is a financial risk when you do it. And sex is more than just a physical act, it is an emotional experience too

I'm pro-Emily who went through IVF, ending up with SIX viable implanted eggs requiring selective reduction to ensure the safety of her and a SAFE number of fetuses.

1-2% of children are conceived this way. They don’t implant 6, at the most three usually. Now they may at times try to fertilize six outside the womb. But to avoid destroying the embryos one can choose to only harvest what is needed. This can turn out to be more expensive and take longer, but it keeps your conscience clear and keeps you from having to choose to end a life.
First time they have tried dehumanizing babies with “sterile terms”

I'm pro-Jessica who is FINALLY getting the strength to get away from her physically abusive spouse only to find out that she is carrying the monster's child.

Again this is paying for the parents sin. If she has other childen from the man is she going to abandon or shoot them because they are reminders?

I'm pro-Vanessa who went into her confirmation appointment after YEARS of trying to conceive only to hear silence where there should be a heartbeat.

This is not an abortion to end a life. this is a miscarriage and sometimes the baby may have to be surgically removed if the mothers body cannot do it naturally for some reason. Roe vs. Wade does not affect these types of procedures.

I'm pro-Lindsay who lost her virginity in her sophomore year with a broken condom and now has to choose whether to be a teenage mom or just a teenager.

Just to be blunt she had no business having sex. No one forced her to have sex. Actions have consequences. Sex is meant for married people.

I'm pro-Courtney who just found out she's already 13 weeks along, but the egg never made it out of her fallopian tube so either she terminates the pregnancy or risks dying from internal bleeding.

This is known as an ectopic pregancy. They end in miscarriage. Many causes, but some causes that increase it are multiple sexual partners and stds. The doctor has the moral obligation to do everything in their power to save the lives of both
Laws are already in place that protect miscarriage care.
5% of babies in ectopic pregnancy will have a heartbeat when miscarriage care is given. This is the one I cannot give a pretty answer for. Depending where the baby is in ectopic pregnancy it can be a guarantee of death for both.

I'm pro-life. Their lives. Women's lives.

Just not the lives you can’t see. The smile you cant see. The cry you cant hear.

You don't get to pick and choose which scenarios should be accepted.

You don’t get to pick and choose which people live and die. Abortion is picking and choosing who is worthy and unworthy of lives. And if you look around in other countries more liberal on abortion, euthanasia of kids is steadily becoming more and more legal. In some countries commercials encourage grandparents/senior citizens to commit suicide so their children and grandchildren can have more resources.

Overturning Roe does not stop abortions, it stops SAFE abortions! Abortion is healthcare.

It is true Roe does not stop abortions. it gives the power back to the states to decide their own abortion laws. As of Friday abortions in Alabama are a felony unless it is medically proven the mother has an extreme health risk from the pregnancy. Should we make everything illegal (immoral) legal in order to make it safer?
and no one is holding a gun to someone’s head saying going abort the baby. And we have medical treatment to help people make it through risky pregnancies. Also maternal deaths resulting in pregnancy largely come after giving birth due to poor medical treatment. Maternal deaths for the msot part happen in poorer countries where they cannot get basic medical treatment.
In the US before Roe vs Wade and during Roe vs Wade. maternity deaths was not even listed in the top ten reasons of death for women.
Abortion is not about healthcare, but about convenience.
Refer to handout on deaths before legal abortions

Men should’t be making laws about women’s bodies

First thing on this is this a very close minded statement and sexiest while calling me close minded and sexiest.
Then my other reply to this is “What is a woman?”
What they are really saying with this is straight conservative men shouldn’t be making laws.
What is right is right regardless of who you are

My Body My Choice

Is that really true? This argument is only used when it is convenient. If that was the case I could get up in the mornings and go on my runs naked. I could claim it was healthier and more freeing for me to run naked. Or the drug addict could shoot up without worrying about the police

What do we do now?
