When you are ready to repent it is because you have believed that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God.

What Is repentance?

Examples of those in scripture that repented.
A. Acts 2:38 (KJV 1900)
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
B. 2 Ti 2:19 “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
2 Timothy 2:19 KJV 1900
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Examples of repentance

A. Mt 26:75 Peter’s sorrow after denying Jesus Christ
B. Jn 21:15–17 Peter’s confession

Leaders encouraged corporate repentance

Ezra 10:1 KJV 1900

Ezr 10:10–12 Following the exile, Ezra leads the Israelites in repentance;

Application of repentance within the church as a whole.

Consider the Seven churches of Asia
Revelation 2:4–5 KJV 1900
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Consider the church in Corinth 2 Co 7:9–11 “Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.”
Call to action: You Believe that Jesus is the Son of God. You are ready to repent as seen in these examples of repentance. Now rise and be baptized calling on the name of the Christ (Acts 22:16).
