Haggai (4)

Introduction: A couple of weeks ago, on father’s day, Ron Branham, John Houchin, Dottie Turner and I were in the foyer talking and reminiscing about our fathers. I think it was John who said that his Father didn't say a whole lot, but when he did you had better listen up. Perhaps you know of people like that in your own life? They posses the kind of wisdom and discernment that when they speak on a matter you want to be very sure you are listening.

Transition: Today, from Haggai 1:1-11 we discover that when the Lord of hosts speaks, it is always right and good to listen up.

The reason to Obey God’s word is so God would be glorified.

Implications?

Jesus satisfies God’s holy requirements to make His people His dwelling place . He was pleased to crush His son in our place. (Is. 53)

Refocuses the pathway of our lives and the purpose of our gathering.
