Esther 4:14 KJV 1900
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
There can be no greater verse of scripture in all the Bible than this verse when it comes to the fulfillment of purpose…
We all know this story well.
The plan of the enemy is foiled because of one young lady, probably about 14 years of age, receives favor not only from God but man!
And her brave stand that she took for righteousness literally saved the nation and people of Israel!
It is one of the most beautiful stories in all the bible!
Story of divine placement, purpose, provision, fulfillment
In this story, Esther had to be reminded that what you have been given is not yours to hoard...
It’s not yours to keep to yourself...
It’s not yours to hide away...
It was given to you for the purpose of saving a nation!
She was given something very special and she had to protect what she was given.
Way to destroy fulfilment:
Doubt and fear
Doubt yourself
Doubt your purpose (part in the purpose)
Fear the unknown
Listening to the wrong voice
Old Sunday School song; Oh Be Careful Little Ears What You Hear!
Past
Don’t judge what will be by what has been!
There is great purpose on this church right now!
Where great purpose resides, great danger lurks!
The enemy wants to destroy us.
Society wants to destroy us.
Friends wont understand us.
We will sabotage ourselves is we are not careful!
We have to guard what God is doing!
You have to know where you are going and what is happening!
Here is the purpose for TLC: We will saturate Lincoln and the surrounding area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
We will fulfil our mission statement: Disciples Making Disciples!
HOW!?!
I will be a disciple of Jesus Christ by living the Apostle’s Doctrine, serving my church and loving my city.
I will teach my family to be a disciple of Jesus Christ by embracing the Apostle’s doctrine, serving my church together and loving my city.
I will make disciples of my friends and extended family and strangers on the street by living the Apostle’s doctrine before them, serving them and loving them.
4. This will consume me, lead me and be me!
These three things summarize our purpose.
When we do this, we will see these things:
Spouses, children, friend and strangers become disciples
Experience favor and blessing from God and man
See harvest
Move from a revival mentality to a harvest mentality
Revival: bringing to life that which is dead
Harvest: corn - one seed will produce a single plant containing from between 2-4 ears of corn.
Each ear will contain on average 800 kernels = 1600-3200 kernels from one seed!
That is harvest
Matthew 13:23 KJV 1900
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
We have knocked on over 1500 doors
From that harvest is coming!
Seen in the ground is stirring and growning!
We have to protect that seed!
Right now what is happening is fragile...
We are like young first time parents, no idea what to do.
We are just going to protect the seed!
Watch:
Pharaoh and Herod did not fear the babies they killed, but what they would become.
God is doing new things in all of us!
Practical things to do to guard:
Don’t lie
Don’t doubt
Don’t question
Give
DOn’t be distracted
When the wolf tells the story, the shepherd is always the bad guy.
