28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
The Promise (8:28)
The Promise (8:28)
Everything in a Christians life will work together for good.
The question becomes, “What then is good?”
For us, this question becomes a cloudy, scary thing. Especially when we face dark times when things seem to be bad.
God’s standard of what is good is not tied to our timetable. God is not bound by our time. He sees the end of the situation before we see the beginning, and He knows that it will work together for good.
You’ve probably all heard the illustration, but it is a fitting picture. Baking ingredients are horrid alone, but beautiful and sweet when finished.
