- Proverbs 20:27
“The spirit (conscience) of man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching and examining all the innermost parts of his being.”
Quote: “The ministry of Christianity is the ministry of the Spirit. It is the Spirit of God that inhabits the words, that speaks to the spirit of another and reveals Christ in and through him.”
― John G. Lake
2 Corinthians 12:1-10 (Voice)
“1) Boasting like this is necessary, but it’s unbecoming and probably unavailing. Since you won’t hear me any other way, let me tell you about visions and revelations I received of the Lord.
2) Fourteen years ago, there was this man I knew—a believer in the Anointed who was caught up to the third heaven. (Whether this was an in- or out-of-body experience I don’t know; only God knows.) 3–4) This man was caught up into paradise (let me say it again, whether this was an in- or out-of-body experience I don’t know; only God knows), and he heard inexpressible words—words a mortal man is forbidden to utter. 5) I could brag about such a man; but as for me, I have nothing to brag about outside my own shortcomings. 6) So if I want to boast, I won’t do so as a fool because I will be speaking the truth. But I will stop there, since I don’t want to be credited with anything except exactly what people see and hear from me. 7) To keep me grounded and stop me from becoming too high and mighty due to the extraordinary character of these revelations, I was “given a thorn in the flesh—a nagging nuisance of Satan, a messenger to plague me! 8) I begged the Lord three times to liberate me from its anguish; 9) and finally He said to me, “My grace is enough to cover and sustain you. My power is made perfect in weakness.” So ask me about my thorn, inquire about my weaknesses, and I will gladly go on and on—I would rather stake my claim in these and have the power of the Anointed One at home within me. 10) I am at peace and even take pleasure in any weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and afflictions for the sake of the Anointed because when I am at my weakest, He makes me strong.”
Romans 5:1-9 (Voice)
“1) Since we have been acquitted and made right through faith, we are able to experience true and lasting peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King. 2) Jesus leads us into a place of radical grace where we are able to celebrate the hope of experiencing God’s glory. 3) And that’s not all. We also celebrate in seasons of suffering because we know that when we suffer we develop endurance, 4) which shapes our characters. When our characters are refined, we learn what it means to hope and anticipate God’s goodness. 5) And hope will never fail to satisfy our deepest need because the Holy Spirit that was given to us has flooded our hearts with God’s love.
6) When the time was right, the Anointed One died for all of us who were far from God, powerless, and weak. 7) Now it is rare to find someone willing to die for an upright person, although it’s possible that someone may give up his life for one who is truly good. 8) But think about this: while we were wasting our lives in sin, God revealed His powerful love to us in a tangible display—the Anointed One died for us. 9) As a result, the blood of Jesus has made us right with God now, and certainly we will be rescued by Him from God’s wrath in the future.”
Romans 5:6 (NKJV)
“For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”
Philippians 4:13 (Voice)
“13) I can be content in any and every situation through the Anointed One who is my power and strength.”
Joshua 1:9 (AMP)“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.””
Exodus 15:2 (AMP)
“The LORD is my strength and my song, And He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.”
Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV)
"The Joy of the Lord is your strength." The Amplified version is a better translation. "The Joy of the Lord is your strength and your stronghold."
Quote: Do not imprison Christ in you. Let Him live, let Him manifest Himself, let Him find vent through you.” ― John G. Lake
The Spirt Man Scriptures:
Genesis 2:7 (AMP)
“then the LORD God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit].”
Ecclesiastes 12:7 (AMP)
“then the dust [out of which God made man’s body] will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.”
1 Corinthians 6:17 (Voice)
“17) But when you are joined with the Lord, you become one spirit with Him”
JOB 32:8 AMP
““But there is [a vital force and] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.”
Quote: “The Spirit of God at work in a man goes thousands of miles beyond psychological influence.” - John G. Lake
1 Corinthians 2:6-16 (Voice)
“6) However, in the presence of mature believers, we do impart true wisdom—not the phony wisdom typical of this rebellious age or of the hostile powers who rule this age. Despite what you may think, these ruling spirits are losing their grip on this world. 7) But we do impart God’s mysterious and hidden wisdom. Before the ages began, God graciously decided to use His wisdom for our glory. 8) This wisdom has not been grasped by the ruling powers of this age; if they had understood, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. 9) But as the Scriptures say,
No eye has ever seen and no ear has ever heard
and it has never occurred to the human heart
All the things God prepared for those who love Him.*
10) God has shown us these profound and startling realities through His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep mysteries of God. 11) Who can see into a man’s heart and know his thoughts? Only the spirit that dwells within the man. In the same way, the thoughts of God are known only by His Spirit. 12) You must know that we have not received the spirit of this rebellious and “and broken world but the Spirit that comes from God, so that we may experience and comprehend the gifts that come from God. 13) We do not speak of these gifts of God in words shaped by human wisdom; we speak in words crafted by the Spirit because our collective judgment on spiritual matters is accessible to those who have the Spirit. 14) But a person who denies spiritual realities will not accept the things that come through the Spirit of God; they all sound like foolishness to him. He is incapable of grasping them because they are disseminated, discerned, and valued by the Spirit. 15) A person who walks by the Spirit examines everything, sizing it up and seeking out truth. But no one is able to examine or size up that kind of spiritual person, 16) for the Scripture asks, “Does anyone know the mind of the Lord well enough to become His advisor?”* But we do possess the mind of the Anointed One”
Quote: “In the spiritual world, the spirit of man is the dynamo. It is set in motion by prayer, the desire of the heart Prayer is a veritable Holy Spirit controlling dynamo, attracting to itself the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God being received into the spirit of man through prayer, is distributed by the action of the will wherever desired. The Spirit of God flowed through the hands of Jesus to the ones who were sick, and healed them. It flowed from His soul, wirelessly, to the suffering ones and healed them also.” - John G. Lake
