Exodus 26-27
Exodus 26-27
Read
use the picture of the tabernacle to show that it reflects Christ as the temple of God.
The Temple structure.
The outer court and the inner court.
The outer court represents, the body
The innercourt represents the union of the spirit and soul
the bipartite nature/constitution of man
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Cor 4:16 “16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”
As long as my breath is in me,
And the breath of God in my nostrils,
The lamp.
The only source of light in the temple.
Christ is the light of life.
John 8:12 “12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.””
Psalms 119:105 “105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
Christ is the lamp and he is the light.
The showbread
Christ is the bread of life.
John 6:48 “48 I am the bread of life.”
The altar of incence, exodus 30,
Christ is our intercessor.
Romans 8:34 “34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”
Why are these things in the outer part of the santuary and not in the Most holy place
Because it is not through the Spirit that God became our intercessor, or our living bread but through Christ, through the soul.
