Habits of the wise

Proverbs 11

We have already looked at Proverbs 1 and have been introduced to wisdom

Throughout the book of Proverbs we see that wisdom is shown in our lives in practical ways

Especially in todays chapter we see many habits of the wise that bring them into favor with God and men (Luke 2:52)

Integrity (1-6, 18) इमानदारीपन

Just Balance- not taking advantage of others (1)

Humility- knowing God’s grace in my life (2)

This is what guides wise people (3)

Realize that riches will not protect them but living with integrity will (4)

Pursues what is right not what is easy

Does not practice deceit

Honesty/Purity (9-13, 20) शुद्धता

Is not a hypocrite but speaks knowledge and truth (9)

Rejoices with the righteous and serves others (10-11)

Knows when to not speak (12)

Does not reveal things and cause problems (13)

Kindness (14-17, 22) दयामाया

Listens to others not only to self (14)

Does not help others get into problems by becoming a loan shark (15)

Cares for others (16-17)

Is pleased in doing good not in looking good

Generosity (24-31) दिने मन

Gives to others (24-25)

Does not hold back for himself (26)

Saves people from destruction (30)
