We are all gathered here today to join Geoffrey and Emily in marriage. Marriage is a covenant between God and mankind where two people who are in love make a vow to each other and to God that they will remain together until death. The Bible gives us a great definition of love in the 13th chapter of 1 Corinthians. I am going to read verses 4 through 8.

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never ends.

Geoffrey Clendenon and Emily Arnold _, Isuggest and ask you both as you stand in the presence of God, to remember that the commitment to marriage is a commitment that is permanent. It is the intent of God that your marriage will be for life, and that only death will separate you.
Response I Will
Geoffrey Clendenon _, will you have this woman to be your wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love, comfort, honor, and keep her in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her, so long as you both shall live? I will.
response I Will
Emily Arnold , will you have this man to be your wedded husband, to live together after God’s ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love, comfort, honor, and keep him, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him, so long as you both shall live?
repeat after me groom
I, Geoffrey Clendenon take you Emily Arnold to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better-for worse, for richer-for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge you my faith.
repeat after me bride
I, Emily Arnold take you Geoffrey Clendenon to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better-for worse, for richer-for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge you my faith.
We will exchange rings at this time.
Emily,This ring I give you as a token of my love and as a pledge of my constant fidelity.
Geoffery,This ring I give you as a token of my love and as a pledge of my constant fidelity.
Forasmuch as this man and woman have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and have declared the same by joining of hands, I pronounce that they are husband and wife together, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Those whom God has joined together let no one put asunder. Amen.
You may kiss the Bride.
Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Geoffery and Emily Clendenon
