Are there only father, we are grateful for the provision, you've given to us, this place to come and study your word. This place to gather together as a congregation to be involved in the worship of you, as we Orient towards your truth. Pray that you would take this time, utilize it to change our thinking that we might be more like your son. Lord Jesus Christ. We might understand things. More clearly, we might walk board in the provisions that you have made available to us, pray that we would understand. And then we would be oriented to living the spiritual life by Grace. This is your work, your provision, you've done everything, we need for it. So we pray, you would grow us and our understanding of it. These things we pray in Christ Jesus name. Amen.

Well, we've been working our way through Hebrews chapter 11 and that we found that in Hebrews chapter 12, verses 1 through 3. It's actually a consider a continuation of Hebrews chapter 11 for a few verses there. In fact, the chapter 2 Vision really shouldn't be there at all. The guy who we studied a few weeks back hoop while he was on his horses Journey from Switzerland to France was sitting there and making all the divisions that we actually still used today, didn't always get it right? Or maybe he went over a bump and you know that line went in the wrong place. I don't know how that worked out but chapter 12 doesn't have to be 12:30, probably be still part of chapter 11. Last week. We noted that Hebrews 12:1 through 2.

you used a word which is an antecedent and it's an intensive particle, the Greek term Puig goren.

Good points. Back to the entire setting of a context, the runs through Hebrews chapter 11 and that actually started back in Hebrews chapter 10 verse 39. So we find that everything in Hebrews 11, depends on 10:39. So really, why are there chapters anywhere at all? Because it's all quite confusing. If I were to put the chapter break would be right before 10:30 9. Continuing all the way through Hebrews chapter 11 on and the Hebrews chapter 12, through the first few board versus and then we would have that which goes together, which I consider to be a chapter of content. of course, we know that the verses are not inspired, it's just something mad has done so that we can kind of talk to each other and say, you know that chapter is that verse in the Bible is inspired

So that is why I treated as if it is something to Mark in a way the chapters and verses as we go. Merrell the Intensive. Particle here does not translate well into single word argument. For other particles, we would use a therefore or wherefore. So I'm having a headache, I might say, and for whatever reason seems to help it. Therefore I'm going to walk across the street and buy something caffeinated and come back and hope that stops my headache. See, I set up the argument, I gave you a ver 4, which is a conclusion and it's tying what came before. What I'm going to do afterwards, we do the same thing with the word wear for just a slightly different orientation. If I'm talking about something you up close I may use one word if I'm talking about something further away. I use another word for I'm using French. I would say wassi, it's right here. Fun. Looking at something out there back at the table I would say it is, it is with what's happening in the in the phraseology in the wording here in this particular phrase, this word and the Greek was looking all the way back to that which causes. And then it makes that cause a search, he demand or a conclusion. It's a very assertive particle that we have here. It's not just I have a headache and it might help me. So therefore, I'm going to Get the caffeinated, drink to help my headache. It is, this is a certainty and you need to be aware of this. And this is so important that I pull out the big strong article, we don't have that article in English. We don't have a corresponding word, that's that intense. So we use a phrase in this case where we translated it was too was for this very reason they're four for this reason and it's pointing back to Bruce 10:39 for this reason and Hebrew 10:39. Therefore, I'm stating what is about to be stated here in Hebrews chapter 12, verses 1 and 2. What's read it? What is it? Stating Therefore, we also since we are surrounded by so great. A cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weight, the sin, which so easily, and snares us and let us run with endurance, the race that is set before us. Brewstew looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Who for the joy, that was set before him and ordered the cross. Despising, the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the Throne of God, verse 3, just doing one into here. So we saw that year is drawing us. Back to that verse that starts the discussion. 10:39. So let's look at that to the conclusion. We are not of those who draw back to Perdition But if the whole Super Weave to the saving of the Soul. So we spent time last week, going through an understanding what this verse means here in 10:39. And we came away with a couple of conclusions after digging into the tax, we have a couple of conclusions. We are not to be those who shrink back because that's what that Greek term means to shrink back to pull away. We are not to be those who shrink back. But to be those who step forward, who reach Outreach forward. The delimiter here. Is the ruler. The measuring standard is whether we are reliant upon the word of God or not. That's what 10:39 of Hebrews. It's toss this out in front of us. Here is the issue. Do you depend on God's word for your thinking? Is that your Authority? Are your conclusions based on your thinking or your conclusions based on the Bible sinking is the Bible doctrine. That drives your mind, your consideration of things around you. How you deal with trials, or difficulties your personal life, how you gauge, what's going on in the culture around us? How you understand the responsibility of man? How you interpret FX? That place were Mankind and gauges with the world around him. Are these things coming from the word of God or they coming from your favorite TV show? They could be coming from anywhere, there's an awful lot that's pouring into her mind. But what we are told here, it's something quite conclusive that there are those people who shrink back that is, they don't have the courage to step forward to. Hang onto there are actually cowardly when it comes to walking by faith or depending upon God's word. instead of circumstance is or what people say,

Isaiah 58 verse 11 says, in the Lord will continually guide you and satisfy your desire and scorched places and give straight to your bones and will be. And you will be like a watered Garden in like a spring of water. Whose Waters do not fail. Is that how you think?

That's what God is promise. That's what he has said. He is saying he will continually guide you in your life. Big things, small things. He will guide you and your life. Speaking of your spiritual existence will be like a watered Garden that is full of prosperity. Not dry. Not using Def. Now there are certainly dry times of the soul that we seem to go through whether those are times of testing in trial because of circumstances that we need to address them deal with or because we made poor choices. And so now we're having to deal with the consequences of those choices. Either way, it doesn't matter of the question is as you go through that time, are you relying on God's word, God's promises? Because if you are, you will be like a watered Garden where life is springing forth.

I've got some plans around the property, especially my property where the Segway business is Wisteria, especially if it turns out the wisteria, plant will grow 18 in overnight. And so I've got this heads of Wisteria right along the front of the entrance of the driveway coming down into the Segway business. And if I go two days without getting out there and cutting these little Pieces of the kids want to just kind of shoot out the reaching for the sun right in the way of all my customers were trying to walk you in when I get people on Safeway's and I'm training him how to ride around and use them. And I have to make sure that this is trimmed back every single time I have customers. So if I go two or three days and I don't have anything going on my walk back in. I'm faced with all these three foot long pieces of intertwined with Syria and I have to go through and clip everything in the morning, get it all cleaned up and out of the way before business starts. Life can grow fast but when you are a water Garden, it is guaranteed life will grow fast. That is spiritual life, your progress in your relationship with God. As you are, depending on the word of God, you will be like a watered garden and life will Spring forth. Guaranteed in ways, you never expected, sometimes it will be in your face and you feel like you have to clip it and get it out of the way. That's okay. Because God, like a well-kept Vineyard, you actually does the clipping Forest truth be told. And so he's the one that comes in and clip those Vines around a control, the life, and prosperity comes from God himself. Are we Reliance upon the word of God?

That was Isaiah 58. Verse 11?

Store we those who step forward claiming the promises of God. Are we those who don't step forward? We hesitate to claim that which God has said or we on purpose, turn from it because it isn't what we want at the moment.

Which way are we going? Where we saw also.

But we rely on what we think.

Or we rely on what scripture says, but we get to have a choice. Which am I going to rely upon what scripture says? Or what I think which is different from what scripture says. So we are constantly choosing between that truth but is the doctrine of scripture. Or those other opposing views, a reject or distort biblical truth. Choosing that, which is not scriptural. View is actually arrogance. Arrogance is rejecting the truth of God.

And instead orienting to our own version of the truth. So did you know of this, we lie to ourselves, we can say things to ourselves that are not true. Because of what we're saying is different from what God's word is saying we're lying to ourselves. So you got to confess the lying, then you get to confess the not choosing that which is God's way. See we need to reorient confess our sin and then come back and say God I'm not going to be arrogant. Which means I like my thinking better than your thinking but rather I'm going to trust in you so we can either trust or we can be airing it. We also understand, this is operating in the cosmic dynasphere, the world system, the Paul tells us about. So when we're not thinking God's thoughts, we are actually engaging in the satanic system around us. We may think it's harmless. I like the way that I view things, it just doesn't seem to fit with what God and I don't get the way that God lays it out. So then why not do this Take your thoughts and take Godfather to bring them together and say, Lord, I don't understand why my thoughts are different than your thoughts. Would you show me, please?

You should we get to approach him and he is an amazing gentleman in his grace in the way that he deals with us and he will happily help us to understand and make the distinction. You don't have to be stressed or feel frustrated because you understand what you're thinking, but you don't understand what he's saying. That's okay. Come to him and say, I want understand what you're saying. It seems to be different than what I'm thinking. So, help me please with this understanding, the fact you can pray it right now while you're sitting there. So I don't get what this guy up front with the funny-looking 1960s, how I wish I pulled out of my closet this morning because this is a set of ties that I got from my cousin. The grant that were owned by my grandfather and her dad came and got them all out of the house. And then he hold on to him when he was down there for a funeral and she pulled out all How far is it to Leesburg? Grandpa's pies, one grab some. And so I grabbed some my brother grabbed some each of my brothers. So we've all got these ties. This one is a thin tie but it's got Paisley on it. So I can't tell exactly when it was. 70s before they start getting. Paisley was a thing then, but what I really like about it is it was made in Anaheim and Fullerton, California. So it came out of a custom in shop where they made their own ties right there. So I got connection to Grandpa. That's why I've got this on here. Do we have a choice in how we think and we can certainly come to God and say I need help with my thinking. That's a good thing to do, you can trust him. Even if you don't know how to trust his word, you can trust his character to help you understand his word. Do we are either then going to be those who shrink back shrink away from relying on God's word, or we are those who stretch forward who reach out to grasp on, to God's word, to clean to it to rely on it.

It's interesting.

We are either those who shrink back from Reliance on the word of God. Or we are those to stretch forward in. Reliance on the Eternal, holy flaming, word of God, that will burn in our souls, and our lives with an intensive fervor as Paul wrote to Titus.

Titus Chapter 2 starting in verse 13. He says, we are to be those who are looking for the Blessed hope and the Glorious appearing of our great God and savior. Christ. By the way, if you're talking with the Jehovah Witness or a Mormon or someone else in your life, I know you're arguing over the different but it's always best to come to them with a question. Well it looks like this verse here says because they're all taught their all-time to clue me in an answer question. So the best way to have a conversation with them is to set them up with questions and I love this it's one of the joys of my life to be able to catch someone from the Colts especially when they're on my front door and I just start asking questions, like, I know nothing. And I said wait till I think the Bible says and then we'll look it up in the answer, the question. And I think it's over here but I'm confused. What do you think? And then they weigh in on it.

He says looking for the Blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God. And savior, it's not saying God and Ben save. Your it's saying, God speed, you were together in the grammatical construction, something called the Granville sharp rule, which means when you have two singular nouns connected with and between them, they are speaking. About the same thing, God and Saviour. This is a Granville Circle right here. Speaking of the same thing he is God and he is Savior and his name is Jesus Christ so I love throwing that out and I am at all even stumble out things. That's why I heard this thing. I think it's called the Granville sharp rule we gravel sharp. Rule says it. When you have two nouns that are connected together then they mean the same thing like being on the same on the two sides of an equal. Equal sign in an equation. So, God Savior. Jesus. God.

I am merciless. I'm sorry. Verse 14. Gave himself for us. But he might redeem us from every Lawless deed and purify for himself. His own special, people zealous for good works. Speak these things. He says we're 15 exhort and rebuke with all the 40. Let no one despise you know, he's speaking too tight as to the young pastor and you saying don't let them despise you because of your youth. You know, the word of God and the word of God is the authority. Point was back here in verse 14, the we are to be those Who has purified for himself zealous for good works.

We are to be filled with the word of God, where we will find ourselves inflamed.

With the will of God, is worth filled with the word of God were inflamed with the will of God. We are to be awakened to spiritual things. Are you? Are you aware of spiritual things that you go through life or are these just incidents and occurrences and happenstance?

Relationships are people that we bump into or are these Divine appointments. Are these spiritually ascertain situations? We need to have Insight. That comes from words. The word of God. When you go down to Thunderbird market and you pick up a couple of things that you need, or you go over to Albertsons or Safeway wherever you may be going and your bump into that person.

Are you ready? Are you prepared? Are you perceiving things spiritually. Or does that not even occurs at not cross? Your mind should be occurring, but it will occur. If you are filled with the word of God, you're memorizing. And if you're thinking on, if you are studying, if you are dedicated to the act of being filled with God's word on a daily basis, you will find ourselves oriented the spiritual things thinking of life through a spiritual filter.

so, when we are awake in the spiritual things, we are oriented to Christ himself We are thinking about Christ and his work and we are zealous to provide divined. Good works to God. That means we want to be filled with the spirit, helping us in behind us confess moving forward in our relationship with God, producing Divine Works in our life, it's actually God is producing them in and through us, he gets all the credit. He gets all the glory, we have to do it God's way just like you only gets saved one way through the work of Jesus Christ, your trust in him. You trust him whose work you rely on what he's done and you are safe to have Divine production in your life, you confess your sin and you rely upon the ministry of God, the Holy Spirit to work through you as you cram your mind with as much of the word of God as you can. And it produces results, whatever you are oriented to. You may have the gift of administration and management, then administer and manage to the glory of God. If you have the gift of helps them be one. Who is Philippine in ministering to those who are in need. Is there someone in need in the congregation? Do you have the gift helps? Duh.

Do we have to send up a flare gun or something? If there's someone in Mead you have the gift of health help. If there is a situation where there is playing manshel difficulties and God has gifted you with Finance with the ability to help people monetarily. But you see the person who financially down. God is calling you to be involved, but you want to make sure that this is divine good production. So you're not doing this for your glory or for the honor of man. So the people say hi.

Back to put a cloak over, your head surreptitiously, sneak over and help out without being seen, or just walked in and humility. And just say, I'd just would be nice to be able to help you in this situation.

Go ahead, go for it. So this brings this idea that we're talking about here. The Divine Good Works Spring from fellowship with God, while immersed in his word brings to my memory. A trip, I made to Hawaii to the Big Island years back. Mel. To set the stage. I have long loved to drive to the coast with or without friends, and family, doesn't matter. There is something. About being connected to the reality of this world, in the creator of this world. When I go and I walk through the giant redwoods, Both ancient and yet alive. And then go further in my trip to the Pacific Ocean Coast where the waves beats and pound against the coastline of Oregon. I remember as a kid hunting, Japanese glass balls used to float fishing nets there. Often washed up in Oregon Shores, At least back when I was a kid and so we would go hunting through the great big files of Wood. And Driftwood that is washed up on the coastline and we would find these amazing sometimes have the net attached to him. Sometimes not. But I remember you know who has a kid going over for? Cub Scout trip to the coast and we would just find him dozens of these little little loan balls and so they basically it's just glass got errands. So I thought the buoyant and wrap them at around them so they toss their Nets out and that's what keeps the Mets from sinking, but occasionally something would happen. Maybe a whale would take off with the mat, you know, how they lose it. So it ends up drifting all the way across the ocean on the Oregon coast, and we would find these things. You know, when you bring them home, put them in our Gardens are my cousin would take them in macrame them, different colors, different sizes, and just do a macrame hanging like a planter thing. Just hanging Japanese ball. Cool. I guess I was a thing of the sixties and seventies, I guess we're not seeing those glass balls washed up on the shore anymore or plastic.

We have the great bleach Driftwood along the coast, which is often the size of Fallen trees all mingled together, but all the branches and everything broken off. So, it's just a great, big long. Huge trunk dried out by the sea, in, by the sun, White. And every day they would get rearranged does the tide comes in with Tide goes out. So you can go and build a fort in the Driftwood. And the next day you come back and maybe there are a few of the tide is going out a little bit but if it's coming in and it's guaranteed gone and all the Driftwood has moved around settled back down in a new place as the tide leaves.

What it always evoked to me was the constant power of the ocean to take together and cast up all good. It's patched. The ocean was in complete charge of that doesn't matter. The size of the ocean is always greater who are something about the sound of the constant dull Roar of the ocean, ebbing, and flowing with the tide and yet always pounding and rolling with the never-ending sound of waves splashing in descending on the shore. And it's been that way for time. Immemorial will be that way through the future.

But that sound has always haunted me. It's always centered me and spoken to me of the great power of God to us. The ocean is on nipotent. Yet to God, it is nothing and he rules it with a mirror spot. We can't change the ocean where it goes, we had change how it behaves, any more than we can move the moon, which is actually controlling the tithes, go out with a thought, can change everything in an instant and he does, he's in complete control of all that on Hawaii. When I was there with my family and friends, a few years back before he passed away, you decided to take me to a special place there on the big island. So we drove from the Eastern side of the big island where he was and we went saw Heading down the coast and transition from The Verdant, jungle to the Kalapana. The California is the hard in the lava flow in the district that they call Pune. Where the Kilauea volcano is constantly flowing into the ocean know. I kind of like being a computer because it reminded me somewhat of well the Applegate Valley and Ashlan. And the people there were all complete formula island called them Pune ticks.

Cuz they're from Pune and they were all a bit crazy so that was their turn for him. Put a ticks but that's right. Where the Lava Flow came down off the mountain down into the ocean. So now we have to follow guides. in walk in special places after we parked our car because the seemingly solid hard, lava, Has shallow spots where this glassine Rahman? Look like it's stable but you can fall through this thin glass like covering allowing you to break through to tragic results. When there are multiple deaths every year. What happened? There are people who fall through that and so they have well-marked places to walk to get you out to the lava flow.

We made it to that place has little truck and dishes some places where you had to go to work. And so you had to be fit to go to get up and over and move across the spots. And finally ended up where we can see the river of lava flowing, forward into the ocean. We had a sight into sound experience that I had never actually envisioned seeing or experiencing in person. It was dusk you see the Sun? But just said and yet we could easily see by the Light of the flow of this, intensely hot magma.

A few hundred feet away from us. Several hundred feet away. We're just looking over here and it's just a, massive amount of lava flowing down like a river into the ocean and it was slowly growing. The size of the island as the magma, flows into the sea in the school somewhere, deep below the surface of the water. Well, beyond our sight from the depths of the incredibly deep ocean there. That's the range from 6000, to 18000 feet in the Hawaiian trench. So we think about how high the mountain peaks are around here. We get up to about six thousand feet above sea level. How far down in the ocean goes and even three times that far. In the trench area, there around the Hawaiian Islands. In the island grows just from the Lava Flow by about 42 Acres a year.

The island is just constantly growing because of the volcano in the lava flowing out of their know, what was seared into my memory was the sound again, the sound of uninviting ocean. Versus unending magma. Glistering and hissing and popping and cracking sound of the water. Coming into contact against the fresh. Hot lava was awesome. It was amazing. Steam is rushing up from this spot where the magma in the ocean come together and each swell of water. Even more steam, rushing up, you can feel the vibrations of this through the cliff, rocks of the drive magma, that we were on what we were watching all this. We have the Deep Sound by vibrating underneath the high, hissing sound, The pops and crackles sounds of water, instantly Dean vaporizer, the pops against the magma. It was phenomenal.

Is this is how my brain pictures. The joining of the word of God to the ministry of the spirit of God in the life of the believer. It is fantastic. It reflects the omnipotence of God. It is never-ending, and it's available to you. Everyday, every moment. If you think that God conforming you're thinking in epistemological Rehabilitation where he's taking your Viewpoint, you're thinking and confirming it to his truth as you are being rehabilitated to see things God's way. If you think this is a quiet and Serene process. Ring, truth must mean something different to you than it does to me.

The mail which law is against the truth where we let our arrogance rise or the world around us that opposes the things of God, it must be something insignificant to you to me. These are massive forces. Who ran against each other in the power of God is revealed.

In the life of a Believer, I am aware of the great outpouring out of the omnipotence of God. Through his spirit. Let me know, I'm nipotent. Change that comes from the omniscience of God, poured out in the Mind and Spirit of the believer. We have these two constant flows of omnipotent and omniscient changing your reality and everything around you. Community. Each one of us are engaged to make catastrophically powerful battle that flows from God and cannot be quenched by anything.

Zealous of good works. Hindi. This is God at work in our lives. Know we reviewed last week, the concept that we have all of the Holy Spirit, All of the holy spirit that we need. There is no Second Blessing, no further seeking that is necessary for us to gain more the presence of God, the holy spirit in our lives. We need to grow in our intake and capacity of the word of God. So we have all of the spirit of God that is needed to live. It's the word of God and which we need to grow. Its the word of God that we lack. It's a knowledge of the word of God that we deal with. we have a lack of knowledge or we have an increase in knowledge but it is more and more and more of an understanding of God's word that we need If you take my picture of the magma, in the ocean flowing together, if you got just a little teeny tiny trickle of magma.

In the water. and there's a little,

That's not what I'm picturing. That's not what I'm seeing. That's not what God's word is talking about. It is the omnipotence of his flowing. Let as much of the word of God, as you can get into your mind as much as you can pack in there. Get it in left catastrophe. Take it shape as God is dealing with the issues around you. We don't know what we have in front of us. In terms of where this world is going to go and it can change in a heartbeat. Everything can change overnight very quickly. We need to be ready and prepared for that. It is the word of God. It is an understanding of the doctrines of the things of God that prepares us for this. A song like I'm being a little exhort ATIV today. You know what it's about. It's about the word of God. It's about taking him Doctrine couple weeks ago, we studied eight of the benefits of having Doctrine in the soul. we have all of this available, we have much teaching, but we have benefited from But are you still? Are you pressing in? Or are you shrinking back? You're doing one or the other, you're either pressing forward, or you're shrinking back. That's what scripture says. You don't get to hover in a place of faces equidistant from where you were previously.

Doesn't work that way when I'm training people on how to use the Segways and how to ride them around, one of the first things we have to learn cuz it's all about the Leaning of your body. When you lean forward to go forward when you rock back, you slow down. When you come up to Center your stopped, you're going forward to rock back to stop. But if you stay until you start going backwards, you have to pop up the center. We have another Factor as well because there's handlebars, you're hanging onto but what most people want to do, when they're a little bit uncertain, as they want to grab the handlebars and sometimes, all you people who are exactly right here, let me go forward and backwards a little bit, but they're keeping themselves right here. The same place. They don't want anything to change. Just the way it is, always 24 inch away from the handlebars, you're not going to be able to use the machine, so too. In the spiritual life. If you are in a stasis, if you're in the same place all the time, you don't have a spiritual life. Spiritual wife is moving forward to either moving forward or are slowing down and starting to go backwards. But you are staying in place. So we learn to allow ourselves to orient to that. Okay, my getting closer in the bars. Am I getting for the back? Am I moving forward with the machine and might come into a spot? We learned to be moving but we're moving in relationship to is the word of God. Am, I trusting it my hanging on to it and by utilizing it.

Am I leaving into the word of God and going forward?

So balancing the spiritual life means we need to have as much of the word of God is that takes the balance of the Holy Spirit. And since he is omnipotent and unending in his capacity, as I just have to power more and more of the word of God. So, how do we find that spiritual balance between the word in the spirit? Get out of your backhoe, get out of your dump truck, more of the word, more of the word, that's what you need. It is an intensely serious important thing.

Here's an interesting point.

We cannot grow. If we do not learn, if you want to learning, you're not growing. The only way. You're growing as if you're learning. The cat with the spiritual life and not be growing. Now, one of the first things we have to learn, this Christians has been set before us in the epistle. To the Romans in chapter 5 and it's very parallel to what we were looking at in Hebrews chapter 10 verses 39 and Hebrews chapter 12. So I want to look at it a little bit.

Marin chapter 5, we have a series of four occurrences of the operatory argument given by the Apostle know, the all priori argument is this, if God has done, the greater thing already been, isn't it easier for him to do the lesser? Yeah, that's the case. So when you're looking at world-class weightlifting individual, these guys who pick up the barbells that have the massive great, big old chunks of the iron and you're looking at it. Going, that's as high as it's up to my belly button. That is massive. I would break my back trying to lift in these guys. Grab it then they pull it up and play with it.

Should I do after they've done, that'll make lifted what looks to be about the weight of my car and put it above their head, do you think they can pick up a bicycle? That's our priori. If you do the greater than it is easy to do the lesser. So here in Romans chapter 5 we have four four instances of all priori. Here's an argument given by the Apostle Paul and chapter 5 and he's using logic to help us think your way through some of these issues and we know it's the offer Yuri instances because there's a reference, there's a little term or phrase. That's their the let us know. We're talking about our priori thinking. If you can do the greater, then it's easier to do the lesser. And he's using the term Much More. Much More Than If This Then much more than can God do this? If the greater thing has been done and it's easy to do the lesser thing, put another way. If God has done the greater thing when it's guaranteed, he will do something. It's a guarantee, it's logic, meets The Throne of God. God is trying to explain, he's trying to reason things to us to help us understand it. So these occur these references, the offer Yuri argument. We're going to Quran verses 9 chapter 5 of Romans verse 9 verse 10. Verse 15. And then in verse 17, No, in verses 8 and 9. We learned that if Christ died for us. While we were Sinners. Then how much more? So that was the big thing. We are sinners and Christ died for us. If that happens then having been justified by his blood, that is his sacrifice on behalf of us. Are we to be safe from the Wrath through him? Doesn't necessarily mean what you think it means on the surface, but let's read it and then we'll discuss it.

Romans 5:8. But God demonstrates, his own love towards us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. So, when nothing was right between us and God, when we were all Sinners, opposed to God, we were hostile to God. And there was enmity between us at that point Christ died for all Sinners, For All Mankind vs, mine, much more, then having now been justified by his blood. So having been Justified means we have believed. If we are believe the work of God that he would take care of our sin while we were Sinners, if we believe that with trusted it for ourselves personally, there for have been Justified.

How much more we will be safe from Wrath. Through him.

So we are using logic here to make a strong argument, even stronger. Like many logic arguments, there is a contrast and there is a comparison. Couple of things are being contrasted, a couple things are being compared. That helps us to understand. The line of reasoning the argument here. So we start by seeing in first 5. Excuse me in first aid of chapter 5. The god issue. Is dealt with our inability to come to God to approach God, because of our sin has been dealt with Jesus Christ. Took care of the full barrier between us and God. It's been dealt with on every level. Every objection, we have every objection. God has everything that was logically. Keep us away. From from God has been dealt with by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He broke down the wall, he broke down the barrier.

Death on the cross. Destroyed, the enmity between God and man. Wildman was in a sinful state. So this satisfies God's justice and his righteousness, which all sin is violated. Our violates. The justice of God, his Justice must be poured out, where are citizen place? And his righteousness has been violated by our sin that creates a barrier between us. When we call this work of the character of God being satisfied, propitiation propitiation means god satisfied. But everything that was dividing us from God has been taken care of, and it's a legal, and it's a contractual satisfy.

It turns out everything important in our relationship with God, involves a contract that involves a legal agreement. There are legal issues that need to be dealt with. It's just an outflow of the character of God. We do the wrong thing, and when we wrong him, then there needs to be a appropriate process to deal with that. Jesus Christ provided all of the dealing with that, that needed to be done. So this means Let the sin of all mankind. Has been satisfactorily dealt with on behalf of God. The state of the world has been transformed from a state of hostility and enmity between man, and God to a propitiate or legally reconciled state.

when two people have problems with each other and they go to court,

They have issues but then the judge gets involved. And he says, okay well this problem is now dealt with this problem is now down with. Okay, then we come to a Wingull reconciliation with her on no more legal problems between the individuals. That's why people like to watch Judge Judy because she gets here and if she just makes it clean and simple, well, you did what and you paid? How much and she listens to him because you're doing this much and that's it. And buy get out of here. They have been reconciled everything. Legally has been taken care of the law has been satisfied. They may not like how it worked out. This case, we're talking about our problems with God. In God based on the work that Jesus Christ is done says, I am reconciled to you. I no longer have offense against you. We now can have relationship one with another.

So, this doesn't mean that the world is saved.

It just makes all of the inhabitants of the world. Savable.

The wall has been taken down. They just don't know about it.

So what's your response going to be? They don't know. But the wall has been taken down between them and God. So what are you going to do about it?

You're going to tell them, right? We're going to talk to people, explain and share. I can't tell you. How many people have led to the Lord from exactly. This situation where they said, I just can't figure out how to get right with God.

I want to do this, I want to do that. I think this, but I want to be like this but I want to have a relationship with God, but

Remember, driving out to church, one time I had a car load of guys or zipping on and down the highway. One guy was obviously longing to be born again, longing to be saved, but he just didn't quite put the pieces together. He's sitting in the backseat. I'm sitting in the front seat, driving my car, what was it 1962, Dodge things called Big fenders. I can remember. Anyways, I were driving along and

chatting with him and I said, so, do you understand that salvation is a gift that God has done all the work. So what do you do to receive a gift? Is it going to take it? Do you have to believe it's yours will? I guess I just do. You know someone gives me a gift and it's yours. That's okay. Well, here's the deal. Jesus Christ, it all. The work salvation is available to you. You understand, you understand the barrier that there is between you and God, here's the issue, he has paid the price. God is satisfied and he wants to give you a gift. Believe that the work Jesus Christ did was for you personally that he reconciled you and God and you'll be saying cuz I Tim gave me the strength to face. I just don't quite get it. Okay. I said, I reached out to my Dash and I grabbed a Bible that was sitting there. When I said it was a nice Bible with a nice cover and everything I said, okay, you don't have a Bible right now. So I'm going to give you this Bible going to take it and he grabs. And I says it's yours.

I get it. Get it. He goes to hand me back the Bible. It says, no, it's it's actually yours. Take it, I just gave you that Bible. Have you believe that? Jesus Christ saved you personally. I get it. I believe it. I understand it. I'm saved. And he was in that instant. He got it and he saw it, you understood it? He was say, that's not easy. Believism. What is the complete package? But God made available by grace through the person of Jesus Christ. The work was done by Jesus Christ. He got the benefit. I have the right as we discussed before. If I'm wealthy, I'm a piece of property. I can grab someone off the street and say this house is yours. I'm signing over the deed you sign here. It's yours to know on forever. I'm even going to toss in pain, all of the taxes for the next 50 years will never have to pay taxes.

Is that house? There's a given that we went through all the legal stuff. Yes, so too was salvation. It was a costly gift. But I was able to give that gift to him. He gets the benefit, was it? Cost me to him? No, was it beneficial to him?

Yeah. So bation is like that. It is beneficial, it is costly it cost. Jesus Christ. Some say everything I say, that's probably the wrong way to put it. But he didn't pay the price. He was the perfect sacrifice. He did take the full Judgment of the wrath of God directed upon him. To pay the price for all sins of all mankind, forever.

So, that is available for every person. Venom verse 9. Romans 5:9, we learned it after being justified by faith. Given the righteousness of Christ. We are even more so removed from the wrath of God. No, Paul's going to say it differently in Breaux Bridge, chapter 8 when he's addressing the mature. Believers there are he's going to say there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Here we learned. There is no future Raf in time to those who are in Christ Jesus. You see the wrath of God is not going to land on you. Once you believe once you've trusted in the work of Jesus Christ, there is no Raf in time. And if this is confusing, it may because the word saved in our passages, here is not talking about being saved eternally.

In fact, in the epistle to the Romans, Paul, never uses the term saved.

The way that we do in conversation, have you been saved? Did Jesus save you do you know about salvation? Have you been reconciled with God? If you've been eternally saved, you've been born again. If you get it, you found it used to be the bumper stickers, you know. I found it.

Gopal never uses this term saved to mean, justification. That is eternally saved. Or we understand it. As the phase one since Phase, 1 phase to phase 3. I've been saved eternally. I've been saved from the condemnation of sin Phase 2. I'm alive born again. I'm now safe from the power of sin in my life. I'm free to not be tyrannized by so I don't have to be. I maybe but I don't have to be because I've been delivered. And in the future I will be safe from the presence of sin. No sin at all. Hallelujah.

Do this is actually talking when Paul uses the term saved in Romans he's not talking about getting saved to eternal life. Is not talking about being saved from hell to Eternity with God. He is talking about every time it is use. He's either talking about saved in terms of the power of God. Tell my wife to deliver me from sin now. Where he's talking about saved, eternally from the presence of sin. He was never talking about phase one. He's talking about Phase 2, and phase 3. That's a good to know because if you come with a bunch of theological bag, say maybe from a calvinistic perspective, or from an arminian perspective and you start reading into the text, your thoughts about salvation, you're going to get things really, really twisted around it, will not make any sense the cording to what Paul actually originally meant and intended. So, this is great news. Did you guys know that solvation never means salvation in the Book of Romans when God's talking about when Paul talking about salvation is always using the term justification or made righteous that's how he portrays salvation in the Book of Romans the word salvation, Is speaking of being conformed here in life.

So this is talking about phase to Salvation, save from the present Dominion or tyranny of sin. Walking by the Holy Spirit walking in fellowship with God, letting the power of God, the Holy Spirit working Our Lives. Because of that, we are saved from Divine discipline in time. That is wrath where there is immediate Or a little more distance. So the big wrap is not going to land on its in time. Customer after you might face face face on getting out of line and God needing to take you to the proverbial Woodshed of life. And he's happy to do that because he loves you more than you love yourself and so when you get out of line he will discipline. It is his loving-kindness.

The brings that discipline into our life. We may be embarrassed by it. We may be shocks. By ourselves. We may be shocked by the situation. We got into, we tend to get shocked over our own sin. And for good reason, it is shocking. But you know what? God loves you so much. Jesus Christ loves you so much that not only did he provide for All of your sin so that you might be saved. He has provided release and relief for time now. So you don't have to walk around with a burden, you don't have to walk around with heavy shoulders because of the thin or the difficulty with bad choices, the awkwardness. The humility that's brought my situation.

There is this thing. We talked about it, early regularly in here, and I think it's good that we do. But there is no guilt that God is requiring of you. Because of your sin because of your sinful choices. He doesn't say all youths, and now you have to carry the guilt and shame here in life, go ahead and grab it, grab that man, full of sin and shame wrapping around your shoulders, carry it around.

there was a

There is a movie.

you remember the name of it, had Robert De Niro in it, it was about a gentleman who was part of the That time in the 1700s, when 1601 work, we had Spain going through all of South America and the mission the mission. Great flick. I think it's worth watching the gentleman in the show.

Carried out the great crime in that as I recall that he killed his brother in the shame and the horror was significant. It was a crime of passion and he took the store to me, killed his brother. And then we have the sole Mission. There's a priest and there's people in the Catholic church and he's being reconciled to God and he just can't deal with the fact of what he did it. So he sent off by the by the Father, I guess in charge down below and he says go with these people on the mission. And so they go and they have to climb up those mountains and follow this River and there's a great big waterfall. It's going way way down and a part of his tenants that is his trying to pay for the sin of what he did during the summer that he used to wear around on his back literally in. So everyone else was clambering up the class and making their way up and they're pulling up the boats and all that stuff. But he is forcing himself to climb up it by himself. Climb up the rocks in the weight of the armor is so much of the keeps getting pulled down and falling down to the bottom. I'm finally, we watch all this Agony of in trying to get to the top with this burden he finally cracked the top gets up there and he makes it up with his armor and 1 - South Americans, I guess comes walking up with his machete and looks at him and takes the machete goes and wax off. The armor just pushes her over the side.

But then it was like, it was cathartic. It was, it was like he was released and suddenly, he was different. We began serving other people doing things for other people with guilt and shame and everything was gone. I love it because it's a perfect picture of the Christian like, you are not after required. In fact, it a sin to carry along your guilt and shame, and God wants to separate it from you and you from it, and he's done that through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. If you ascend, if there is shoes of sand, let it go, put it away from you. As far as the East is from the West, it should be from your mind as it is from God's let that not be a burden. And if you carry it as a burden, confess it for what it is. It's in. You have no obligation to God. Jesus Christ, pay the price, you can't do. Don't carry these things as your own, shame, your own load. But it go, where the clothes and prayer, truly father, we thank you for this time of study. We pray that you would continue to lead us and guide us and grow us in our spiritual walk and orientation to you. We pray that the things I said today would find their home. That the word of God would be like an arrow to the Heart Lord, and there would be the release that is needed for any her in that place today. You need to listen to this in the future as they are listening to the recordings pray. There would be released and Freedom, the people might recognize that everything was paid by Jesus Christ, there is nothing that needs to be paid. Therefore we put away the shame, the guilt. We move forward with the righteousness of Christ. That is our burden to have, Christ's righteousness as a run, something we can't learn something. We can't produce it. Something you restore all that you have done and we praise you for it. We think you in Christ name

So we are giving for your utilization in this congregation Lord, we don't come as if Towing something we come, as if everything you have given us everything, we have need of there for. We reflect that in our daily life. Lord, you provide and you meet our every need, is your grace the provides for us. Therefore, in a response to that, we give back by grace. That what you have given us that you might take it and use it an even greater measure. Do that. We hoarded things and kept them to ourselves. We would be in dire misery and yet because we release these, get these offerings back to you. Lord becomes a presentation to you that you might give the increase and do the greater thing. And so we identify we I understand that is your work that is being done and we align ourselves with. We recognize it as Christ himself from the riches of Heaven came to Earth and took upon himself, the role of humanity. We enter into this time, looking for The Guiding reading of your spirit as we pray in Christ's name. Amen.

Yeah, it's the same concept yet. Go ahead.

It's just a space, priori priori.

It is at the exact same concept as just a different Latin phrase to say the same thing. So,

Yeah, it's it's the only the only difference is if the first thing is true, then the second thing is true. That's what a priori means. A fortiori means that the greater thing is true. Then the Lesser thing is, true is also like, I kind of mix the two together. Both firms are applicable here. If the previous thing is true. So the way he is Marshall does arguments. Here he is said, here is the greater thing. Here is Elektra think, but he's also said, here is the first thing here, is the next thing. So because of this, it follows. So the when he says the then more, so he's actually using a priori but he's also if you think about it logically, he's using a Northport to Yuri argument. The greater thing was done, but he's actually giving it to us in an order. So it's not for your re the first thing in the second thing. The first thing is true, then more. So, The second thing.

No. No they're right. And I'm sorry because I have a nice having gone through a few years Aladdin, the stuff just blast through my mind and I don't even think about it. It's just it's just they're so did questions, thank you. Wright's, we're picking up where we left off. So, this is the first time that we run into the reference. To the term salvation in the Book of Romans.

Who is referring to something future that occurs because we have been Justified. So we've been Justified there for the first thing as justification. What follows justification is what? We're looking at justification first, then we have sanctification justification allows us to move into sanctification. So because we are dispensational, we take the time to clarify and make sure that we're there are distinctions, we are minding the distinctions of God, put distinctions in place in Scripture. That means there's a reason for it, so it would be reasonable then that we actually allow those distinctions, the significance that they have. But if we come in with a boatload of theological Concepts like tulip, All kinds of things, we don't actually believe it's the calvinist view of life. But what they often do is they will come in and they will read scripture, it will stay full because of two lists, this have to mean such and such. And that's how they read through scripture with the preconceived theological Viewpoint. Therefore they don't let themselves see or read with scripture actually says, it means something different in their mind so they are imposing. Another system of theology on the text. Our goal is to actually just look at the text see what it says and let that drive our theology as much stocking as I do as much going through details and principles the purpose. And the goal is to Simply let the text be the I'm in no position to be an authority when it comes to, the things of God. God's word is the authority in, as good as I am at sharing. The teaching detailing about which God's word is saying, then it is authoritative. Now, we have found a system of Doctrine, we call it categorical Doctrine, where we take ideas. So we cast The Wynette over all the scripture we pull in everything that's talking about salvation, for every place where the word salvation is used in the New Testament. Every place where the Greek word Sozo is used across the New Testament. So, we go through and we make these distinctions, we don't want to get caught thinking that because we see something the same way over and over in the English, but it's necessarily that way in the Greek text. So that's part of my job is to catch those things and To your attention so that you realize what's going on. Because sometimes the translation into English, wasn't really a translation was an interpretation. That is their interpreting it a certain way and then they phrase it a certain way based on a few logical view that they had. So our translations aren't always translating for us. That's part of what we're doing. We are trying not to interpret things. First we want to have the basic level. What the scripture mean? What does it mean here? What does it mean here? How do we know that means? This doesn't mean that historically, does it mean that in the language of the people who are speaking? This at the time, is it used that way throughout the New Testament? So once we establish all these Basics, about how the text is being used, when we can interpret it, then we can understand what it means. And actually oftentimes My tendency is just to look at the grammar in the vocabulary and it gives you so much. You really don't have to move far to interpret, you don't have to do a whole lot of heavy. Lifting the heavy lifting is actually doing the work of examining, the text in the original language going through and studying that seeing what different Heavy Hitters out there upset about it. What trustworthy individuals have said, when you look at the people who aren't quite so trustworthy and see what they have to say, cuz you want to have an open mind to consider all the arguments, but then once you understand that you can move forward, and then you can communicate and interpret. So that's the process that I go through, much of that is behind the scenes so this mention of soda, or salvation was talking about phase to Salvation, save from the present Dominion or tyranny of Syrian But by walking by the Holy Spirit, walking in fellowship with God, letting the power of the Holy Spirit work in our lives because of that, we are saved from Divine discipline in time or ref.

Walking in the spirit. We are yasso here. In this verse lot of people are going to presuppose at Salvation, talking about eternal salvation, when they said that word, it's not it's talking about phase two. That is the spiritual life, the believer. OK, Google life with a Believer should not lead to RAF and it wasn't designed we do. It was designed to lead to something better than rat. So when we're talking about salvation that uses the term justification in Romans that salvation is not about getting eternally saved. It's not having the wife of God Here and Now

Nope, nope, winning right now, while you're living in a live. So if you need to take the Divine discipline of God, if he needs to give you a spanking because you were out of line, okay. We were talking about so Raff now or the discipline. So, discipline would be a good interpretation there as well. The King James and new King James, both use wrath, but it is Dog doesn't have raft in the way that man does. That's an emotion. God doesn't have emotions. In the way, the man does. He has policies. It is based on his Justice and his righteousness and it is always even, it is always fair and never varies when it comes to the Christian Life. When God's Wrath is being applied, really. It's speaking of his discipline is policy of discipline towards as he doesn't have raft. In that sense in the way that we think of a wrathful. Man. Some of those anger, we're letting his anger be very. Whether it is a media tour, a little more distance in the future, that's what we're talking about. Then Divine discipline in fine while you're alive after salvation, before going home to be with the Lord, in the way to avoid Divine discipline in life and divine judgment, as a result of live. Walking in Carmela tea is to confess sin.

Do we confess sin? We? Go through the process of 1st, John 1:9, if we confess our known sin to the Lord and then he takes care of everything known and unknown and we are forgiven and we are also cleanse. We are purified. That is we are made so that we can have the fellowship with God. The Holy Spirit. We can have that filling Ministry of the spirit working in our Ally and then we walk by the holy spirit that is were able to live Independence. On him live Independence on the word of God, the to tie together, their inexplicably linked, you cannot rely on. God, the Holy Spirit without relying on the word of God. Now I stay that in all of our charismatic and Pentecostal friends are going to jump up and down and call me a heretic. Do you have to rely on? God, the holy spirit will, if you aren't relying on the word of God. You're not relying on the Holy Spirit, you're relying on something different, you may be relying on an experience, you may be relying on emotions, you may be relying on something, mystical, something subjective, but if the word of God, the doctor in the teaching, the knowledge of the character of God, that is what you are relying on leaning. Upon when you aren't walking with the Holy Spirit, walking in the holy spirit, always requires processing, the word of God. At the same time, sometimes quite frankly, we develop Shane's and thinking that go together. So after you've been driving a car for a while, you don't think much about getting and starting the ignition put in a reverse pulling out, getting on the road and driving 450 miles. Then you can't remember all the decisions you made along the way with your numerous. You make many many, many decisions watching the traffic around you who to watch out for when to go slower, when you go faster, when do accelerate, when to slow down, when do be cautious, when do the side o that stuff is natural and normal. When we've been walking in the spirit when we've been walking with a knowledge of the Bible Doctrine in our soul for a while, we may not be cognizant of all of those things. As we go, it's why we call it walking. It's a process that is normal and natural. We don't think about it. When we're walking out in the parking lot, we may be stepping on Big Rock smaller rocks, but Justine or ankles and knees, except for Sandra going along as we go. we have the ability kind of go with the flow as it were Sorry Sandra. Didn't even hear it. Did. I didn't say anything, don't go back and listen to the recording.

We make adjustments along the way, but that's because we have an orientation to the word of God. So, because you're walking, doesn't mean you're not utilizing the word of God. You are utilizing the word of God, you may not be as conscious of it, because you're constantly doing it. Just like you're not as conscious as all the decisions you make, as you get in your car and drive around right making sense. Take me questions on that.

So the away to avoid vavine discipline in the life and divine judgment, as a result of living and walking and carnality is confessed in walk by the Holy Spirit. Stay in Fellowship in the Bible and Christ apply the word and that will save us from rap. So when we're in Fellowship walking forward then we are liberated from the idea of Wrath

Supposed to have not trusted in the work of Christ. Have not been Justified who may have not been made righteous with the righteousness of Christ play. You are therefore still under the wrath of God, you see those who are not Believers, are under the wrath of God, there sand has been dealt with but they have not accepted that their sin has been dealt with and they have not accepted the peace with God. They have not received the Bible in the picture of the gift that I gave. So they have not been City. They have not received the free gift, so they are still dealing with the threat of the Eternal. Wrath of God. So, there is no enmity. They can be saved at any moment based on Grace, but they have to reconcile themselves through faith trust and Reliance upon Christ's salvation provision to be removed from that place of God's Wrath in eternity. We are free were liberated from God's. Wrath in eternity as Believers, we have the issue of Wrath or discipline in time, so different issues. So we have a principle

When Believers reconcile themselves to the gospel. Then God rocks and soils them to himself. You see as we believe in the work that Jesus Christ does. God draws us to him. He makes us righteous. You see we are saved. Not by ourselves. God Saves us. We simply believe or trust in the work of Jesus Christ and God Saves us. He does the work he makes us righteous here. So soon as his children of the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ and on and on we go with Bunches of amazing things that God does and that portfolio of Grace ass. That's given to us at the moment of Salvation. All of these things are made available to us.

May all the logic and Romans. Might seem complicated here but it really is truly simple. While we were sinners Christ, paid for all sin and took bmnt in the hostility between, man. And God away. This is the legal propitiation or the satisfaction of the law. So big. God is satisfied towards all mankind because of the sufficiency of the work of Christ. Everything Christ did was pleasing, it was sufficient was more than sufficient. It was everything that was needed. So that God Was pleased with the work of Christ. He was pleased in his making payments for the sins of all mankind. Therefore if Christ took care of our sin debt, then how much more or it follows then from the first Christ took care of our sin that then he can take care of the Leicester thing, providing for spiritual life. So that's the offer to Yuri. The offer Yuri is Christ had to take care of her, send that first. Before you can provide spiritual life to us second. You see. So the one has to happen first. That's why it's an offer Yuri, but it's also an on-call fortiori meaning. The hardest thing has been done first. So the Lesser thing, giving us spiritual life is done second. So now, I'm not saying that, that's what Romans are staying here. This has been done the harder things, more difficult thing and the first thing has been done. So then it follows that the second thing has been done. Which is also the Lesser thing the harder has been dealt with.

so, therefore

celebration from RAF is based on or having been Justified or made righteous because of our personal thing or Reliance upon, Christ's, sacrifice for us personally, as such

Having been made righteous. The wrath of God will never apply to us for that. Eternal wrath will reply to it. And having been made righteous, we have everything we need. So that the wrath of God in time never need apply to us as we can live without having to be disciplined. For a while. Everyone's got a Sim nature. We all get online. Never heard of a kid. That was perfect. I know a few who claimed that they were, oh, I was never disciplined as a kid and I got them.

I don't respond to discipline. I've heard people say people who I know, I'm loved and they really believe it. I don't respond to discipline. Well, I respond to encouragement. God is going to give you encouragement after he disciplined. She. Okay. So, now salvation from RAF, every man has provided for. But every man has not trusted personally in that provision. Every man has had the wall of that taken care of. That is my man. I mean, every human on the face of the planet has had their sin issue dealt with, by Jesus Christ, but they're not all saved because they haven't trusted in. If they haven't believed in it. For example, and Luke 23:32, we read about these individuals who were also a two, others criminals LED with him to be, put to death as crisis, being taken to Golgotha to pay for the sins of the world. A couple of a couple of guys in trouble. A couple of criminals, get sent to a death sentence, alongside him. We move forward to verse 39. We were there and one of the criminal to work Change blaspheme him saying if you are the Christ save yourself and us. So by hearing to hear music, they have been hung on a cross. So there's price on the center and two criminals one on each side also having been hung on crosses If you are the Christ, you said, save yourself and us. He was marking Christ. He was saying you obviously aren't of the Christ cuz if you were the Christ, you wouldn't be up on this cross. He missed the whole thing like men, you didn't get it. Christ didn't come to liberate Israel. He didn't come to overthrow the Romans. He came to deal with the sins of the whole world Christ was looking at the big picture. This criminal was looking at what he thought was the big picture in reality. He was looking at the minuscule, tiny picture. Jesus Christ was dealing with the sins of all mankind for all-time verse 40 foot. The other answering reduced him saying, do you not even fear, God, senior under the same condemnation. You're being hung on a cross here as well. You're about to die. You don't have any fear for God at this time. Now, if any is a time to get serious for a 41 and we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our Deeds. We are criminals. This is the cost of being a criminal. We are paying the punishment capital punishment, what this man has done, nothing wrong. See one, had him site, one understood that Christ was perfect. You understood that the Messiah was perfect. I understood that he was the Messiah, the other one rejected him, maybe he was a zealot, maybe he was someone who wanted to see the Romans overthrown at that time. Maybe he rejected, anyone who claimed to be the Christ who wouldn't say themselves. All our possibilities, but he's rejecting the reality of who Christ is. As he doesn't verse 42, then he said to Jesus, Lord, that is the title of the Messiah. Lord, Cory. Awesome! The Greek. Remember me, when you come into your kingdom, He was placing his face, a distrust is reliance upon him at that moment, first 43? When Jesus said to him, I assuredly, I say to you today. You will be with me in Paradise. What are the little things we learned from this interaction. Number one, that Jesus Christ was going to Paradise as he died. He was headed straight to paradise. Also, there is a pair of paradise is actually that compartment and Hades that place where the righteous go and are provided for, who's the place where all the dead, go either to judgement and Punishment. Or to the place of protection and rejoicing and what the Jews called Abraham's bosom. That is the place for all Jews. Now, some of them thought that every Jew was going to get saved and go to Abraham's bosom, part of why they called it that Abraham's bosom, but only those who were sons of Abraham in that they had the same faith and Reliance in. God, we're going to Abraham's bosom.

Both man hanging suicide of Christ, have their sin paid for by Christ. One of them trusted in Christ as the Messiah, the one who would atone for the sin of Israel and of the whole world. One was made. Righteous one would be with your shoe at Jesus in Paradise. In the compartment of the righteous provided for in Hades. On that, very same day. Both were provided for yet, only one would rely upon the provision the Salvation provision. Only one would reconcile to the gospel. Embarrass be reconciled by God to himself, is he God? Does the reconciling Christ provided the means, but those who are reconciled Legally haven't yet, been reconciled personally, and it's not until we trust and believe. At that moment, we are reconciled person in relationship with God. We are Justified. We are made righteous. Doing that. Since verse Romans 5:8 is saying the Christ provided the legal provision or the legal framework, the satisfy, the righteousness, and Justice of God or propitiation. How much more than have we been provided for as Believers in living the Super Bowl Christian Life with God That's the point.

Salvation has been provided for then it follows and how much more can we live be? Supernatural? Why? Some people call it the Victorious Life. Some people call it, the overcoming life. I like to call it the normal Christian life because it's available to absolutely every believer without exception. No exceptions. Everyone can live the supernatural life, right? This instant right now, there's nothing between you and the supernatural life with God Christ, provision. Is acceptable to God. So, anyone who relies upon Christ's provision will be acceptable to God. It's true in Eternal salvation or justification, and it's true in the second phase of life, after being eternally, saved or Justified. We are now able to participate in the spiritual blessed life.

This is our doctrine of imputation at work. Syrian. Was actually imputed to your shoe and Jesus on the cross. All of the sin of all mankind was placed upon Christ as the only worthy representative of man who had legal standing before God, the father was able to choose to stand in place of all mankind for the punishment of sin. That's why you went to the cross. But he might pay for the sin of all mankind. Then at the point of belief, Cuz we personally believe in that the righteousness of yahshua Jesus is imputed.

Know what Romans 5:8 is telling us is this righteousness in terms of how to live the supernatural life is imputed. To the believer.

So, it gets a little confusing because we believe at the point that were say, we also, after having been saved, we're giving that righteousness which allows us to have Supernatural like now. That's what romance is talking about. So we have imputation of sin to Christ, then we have the imputation of Christ's righteousness, to all who believe the pain is efficacious, work on their behalf. Everyone who believes is made righteous everyone who believes their for a supernatural life opportunity. In front of them, they can walk in it. They can live in it. They have it, they will live eternally whether or not we live. Like who we are, is the question. There are many who live miserly existence in this life, as Believers because they do not rely upon the work of Jesus Christ is gitelman. Resurrection life, right now? It's not a big? I thought I'd if I can get there, just like with the Holy Spirit, we have everything we ever need me. Just need more understanding, more of the word of God poured into her life, and then the both sides float together, the lava in the sea come together and that great, Amazing Experiment of spiritual life, the word of God impacting, the spirit of God, impacting the life of the believer Sizzle Rush, steam constant moving. It is omnipotence verses on missions coming into the omnipotent growth. Right in the heart and life of every believer.

and some people just don't want to believe it. They don't want to understand it. Yeah.

How do you differentiate Christianity so easily? From the other relations. Like there's a few ways, that's a good question. So there's there's a few ways we differentiate Christianity from other religions. Couple things I would point out and we can study them at Great length, and I can chat with you about it, anytime about these, but one, we have a Bible, the word of God, and we find out that our Bible, unlike any other religion out there, it has a supernatural origin, and it's an amazing thing. When we have 60, plus books, all join together, all these different individuals who wrote them and yet one God in Supernatural. He was involved in the entire process. So there's no contradictions across all these different authors written across thousands of years. Nothing like it. No other scriptures. That's like every other scripture out there was written by one man and has all kinds of problems issues with it. Number 3, second thing is the Jewish people God made a covenant relationship with the Jewish people. There is no other tribe Nation or group of humans who has ever been moved out of their Homeland and yet has maintained in survive with their with their integrity, Every Other Nation or people group has just been wiped out. It's what we might have bits and pieces of them, but they are no longer that nation that they used to be. But the Jews are they still have the same beliefs? They still have the same genetic code. We're still the same people. So, we have the Bible, we have the Jews, and then we have the issue of sin. You see, there's really no other religion or scripture out there that deals with sin, but the Bible does.

Yeah, I know, they're really not calling since in, and then they have Gods who are sending, you know. So they're really not there. They have no intellectual integrity and how they do it. So those are three major things we can come back and chat about them, but let's keep going here. So we have imputation to send the Christ. Do we have the imputation of Christ's righteousness to all? Who believe I'm in chapter 5 of Romans is about how much more than we have Assurance to live our life unto God. So, the logic continues in the first 10, we looked at verses 8 and 9, and verse 10. We read for us when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God. Through the death of his son. Much more having been reconciled. We shall be saved by his life. Again, we have a double. It's an offer you Orion. It's all and all for you. Worry. It is one has to come first. We have to be reconciled to God, because we were enemies with Ben afterwards. We are saved by his life. And so we need to understand what saved by his life means because it's not what it means. If you carry in some, calvinistic perspective, and try to understand it from from that Viewpoint, so we have Supernatural provision to live our spiritual life. Who made Supernatural provision?

Is given to us by his life. Paul will explain in the next chapter that we have been baptized into Christ there. For, we have a life as a result to that. He's a looting to that right now.

Well, we have another

A priori arguments in verse 15, so will pop up to that.

So this is the third instance, of the operatory argument verse 15, but the free gift is not like the offense for youth by the one man's offense, many died. Much more The grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man. Jesus Christ. Abounded too many. Here are the comparisons between the provision of the atom, to all mankind and the provision of Christ. Now Adam provided soon. And that resulted in the death and condemnation. And many died Christ provided life and justification, or the righteousness of Christ, as a result of the grace of God, that results in abundant salvation, and Grace Provisions to the many. So by one choice Adams, sending cause death to the human race. Christ, with one choice cause life to any, who would receive it any who would follow any? Who would trust in his work? So salvation and grace are much more abundant and logically, they are greater than the curse. The life that Christ has provided is greater than the curse that Adam provided. So then we move forward 2 verse 17. Worried Forest by the one man's offense death reigned through the one much more those who receive abundance of Grace and other gift of righteousness, will rain in life. Through the one Jesus Christ raining in life. So what we're saying here is by Adam Jeff became the king, the Tyrant that had rain. That is was in charge of in power over all mankind. But through Jesus Christ.

We find that the gift of righteousness will reign in our lives. So we don't have death raining over us. We have the righteousness of Christ raining in our lives. So here we have confirmed. What has been the other Hopper your ear off for Peoria arguments? We've had up to this point, as Adam brought the ruling of death over man, with tyranny of sin and death for mankind. So to even more. So, Christ brought the gift of righteousness based on an abundance of Grace. So that the righteousness of Christ will rain in the life of Believers. The gift will rain in life through the provision of Jesus Christ. Christ provided not just deliverance from sin in eternity. He provided deliverance from sin. While the live here on Earth as Believers and that Deliverance come through the ruling raining righteous power. Think the volcano magma in the water in your life of God.

Lil JB Phillips as a paraphrase of our text here in verse 17. So, he translated it this way for, if one man's offense meant that men should be slaves to death, all their lives. It is a far greater thing that threw another man. Jesus Christ Men by their acceptance of his, more than sufficient, Grace and righteousness should live all their lives like kings.

Stop.

So God is a great Transformer of Lies, he turns slaves in the Kings and he deposes the dynasty of sin. Transit in the dungeon and then throw the dynasty of righteousness, he who takes the Baker from the dunghill and sets him among princes to make him inherit the Throne of God. That's who we're talking about, takes the child of atom, and lift him to reign with Christ. We have been transferred from the dunghill to the throne room of God. Where am I getting this from? It's actually reference from 1st Samuel, chapter 2 verse 8,

When we read that, he raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash Heap to set them among princes and make them inherit, the Throne of God, for the pillars of the Earth are the Lords and he has set the world upon them. What is this? This is the great prophecy. The great prophetic work and Proclamation and the praise worship song of Hannah in 1st, Samuel chapter 2.

Forsake. Then you'll notice that we have it surrounded by a few thoughts. He or she is speaking about the magnificence of he and part she talking about her child how she know that thing child who's going to be born to her the bastard. Child is going to actually be a prophet set apart by God to be used. Kind of a picture of Christ who is seen as a bastard child, who ended up being the Messiah. The one, who is over all the one who is actually the deliver or all her son was going to be the deliverer of Israel as the prophet of God. It's an amazing amazing passage and we commented on it, read through it a few times. And hopefully again I keep saying this, we're going to do the Deep dive and work our way through it. It is so rich, rich rich is a joy to read through in the study. But here's a few things that are said. Starting in verse 6, the Lord kills and makes a live. It's a God who takes life and gives life. He brings down to the grave and brings up, but is he is able to take people down to help and deliver them? We've studied this previously recently. We've been through the study of the resurrection power, to the scene in the Old Testament that belongs to Yahweh alone and to no one else. No other God or the false gods that claim to have this power, none of them do. But here we're reading that God does number 7 for the Lord makes poor and makes rich. He brings low and he lifts up the, I thought that was me, I thought I made myself. Poor made myself, Rich, are you poor God's? Letting you be that way? Are you rich? What is the one who provided for that he gave you? The means, what are you doing with it? Or you're acting like, it's yours or you recognizing that? It's God's. Do you have means ability to bless people. Bless others around to influence. I hope you are cuz it is it's from God and it's available to be used for his glory for his kingdom. Verse 8, then he raises the poor from the dust. He's the one that lifts up those were so poor that they live in the death, he brings down and you list the Baker from the ash Heap, he's the one that pulls up the bigger from the Ashley, what's the a sheep? A sheep is a dump place where everything was taken and then it was burned. It's burned because you helped keep it from becoming a place where you have wraps and problems and run down and grab food, and so forth and try to stay alive by going to the Ashley to the top. So it's the dump in essence to set them among princes. He lives to start them among princes, and make them inherit the Throne of God. So here's the deal. Kind of circling the wagons all the way around, what we've been talkin about here. This whole couple of hours is that it is God, who empowers and equips and it's about his equipping you to live this life. Now with Supernatural power, that is not your own. He is taking you from where you belong and a sheep of life in the dust of life and he's raised you up to that place which glorifies God. It is his joy to do that. This is great and deep joy to take those who are down for out for hurting and to provide relief to provide sustenance and truly. He does it in life in every way. But we're talkin about spiritual life and living cuz there's nothing more important. Now, in life, we have difficulties, we have trials, we have issues with relationships and with jobs, and with houses and property, and things that we own in possessing cars and blah blah blah, God will take care of those things. But the key, the core is your spiritual life and living. And if we focus on God works to clean up everything else. So you we have a tendency to think we need to be the fix that one. We want to be the kid who sticks his thumb in the dike and keeps the water. I'm coming in and taking out all of Holland. We think we can be that person. We can't We aren't our job is to concentrate on our relationship with God on the core responsibilities. He's given us. So, our relationship between us and him, our relationship with spouses with children immediate CORE family that God has put around you. Then the congregation people who are in need in the congregation people who are hurting or just need encouragement or just need that. It's okay, you know, God's going to take care of you just like, you know he's going to it's going to happen. We have opportunity but we concentrate first on the central thing our relationship with God. Let's concentrate on that I'm, and he's going to take care of everything else. Then He Is, We concentrate on our relationship with him, he fixes the relationships and ways we could never quite figure out how to do. I've met some people who are I don't want to use the term manipulative because it under sells the situation. There are some people who are so aware of if I do this that happens but you got that happens, you know that this happens if she does at this happens, almost like spiders in a web and they can feel the jingle and they know everything that's going on. And their goal is to work to a place where we have captivity in the web. Well, You don't have to do that in spiritual life and living God will take care of everything. He's the one who is our provider, he is the faithful one that we rely on.

So, we're back to our Ridge mating phrase. We are not designed for sin unto death.

We are designed for a tactical victory.

If we are first in line,

That is what the pole is talking about in Hebrews chapter 11 verses 39 and 40. He's told us that Israel is waiting for us to be reconciled and then they will be reconciled. So if we are first in line for reconciliation,

We were never then designed to go the way of sin unto death. So here is the whole point of this particle. It was pointing back to 10:39 where we have the toy Igor own in eternity past, God has Provided everything we need for life and prosperity for blessing. Everything we need here in time has been provided, When God is again provided everything for eternity future, which will be a multiplication of what happens here in time.

God has designed everything that we need. You think there's something that God hasn't prepared. To take care of you, you would be wrong, everything you need has been provided, he's put your personal name on. It has been stamped been marked, not for anyone else, it's for you. No one else can claim it. We're the only ones who can. And if we don't then, of course, we had the alternative, which is losing having discipline in the pine. Being peons in eternity because we don't take advantage of time.

For phrase, for that very reason.

We are not designed for the send them to death. We will go the route to the Simmons, the death, as an alternative. If we are willing to be those who stretch forward, believe the word of God, taking on failure means if you fail in the Christian Life, you will know it when God wants you, you know it we're going to pick up next week, continuing on. Once we have dealt with this phrase of seeing

seeing we also, We're going to are considering that next week will be picking up on the scene. We also and that phrase and then moving forward, understand the next couple of verses, put it all together with the chapter 12, verses 1 through 3.

All right. What's the closing prayer? Father, we thank you again that your word is a place of our stability. Your word is a place of our recovery, everything that we need about life and godliness has been provided for us in your word. Everything we need to know about how to recover how to deal everything, we need to know about how to deal with prosperity in life, no matter what, our perspective, where we're coming from your word, prepares us. Therefore, we have the ability to have a relaxed mental attitude, as we're studying your word, we Orient towards you, we trust in your provision and we keep on plugging in you are the faithful one. You are the one we rely on. It's not about us, it's about you. Therefore we focus on you. We focus on the work of Jesus Christ. On our behalf. We focus about on the example of Jesus Christ. We focus on the production of Jesus Christ. The way that he lived in the Divine dynasphere to a Reliance on the word of God tied with a Reliance and God, the Holy Spirit and so too, we follow in his footsteps. We do the same thing. We press forward knowing that you will provide for us. We praise you. We thank you. We glorify you.

We look forward to your moving and working in all of our lives this week and price precious name we pray. Amen.
