What do you do when you are looking for directions to get somewhere?

You use your phone, GPS, a map

What is the first thing you need to know?

Where you are

What is the second thing you need to know?

Where you are going

Then, you can create a path from where you are to where you need to be.

In your walk with God, the first step in knowing our purpose, is finding out where we are.

How do we find out where we are?

Where am I? ¿Dónde estoy?

Psalm 139:1–2 NKJV

1 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

To know where I am in my walk with God, I need the Lord to:

Search me (that takes surrender) Examiname (eso requiereentrego)

Know me (that takes time) Conoceme (eso requieretiempo)

Try me (that means hardship) Pruébame (eso significa dificultad)

Reveal my worries/thoughts (that takes humility) Revela tus preocupaciones o pensamientos (eso requiere humildad)

Look for wicked ways (that requires obedience) Busca caminos perversos (esto requiere obediencia)

Lead me in the way everlasting (that takes trust) Te guiará por el camino eterno (esto requiere confianza)

Where do I need to go? ¿Dónde tengo que ir?

This must always have prayer in every part of what you are doing. The Holy Spirit will guide you.

Understanding where God wants us to be begins with:

Finding needs and filling them - Encontrar necesidades y llenarlas

Using what He already gave me - Usando lo que Él ya me dio

Being willing to be uncomfortable - Estar dispuesto a ser incómodo

Ephesians 4:11–16 NKJV
