GOD’D PENETRATING WORD.

INTRODUCTION

THE HEBREW WRITER ADDRESSED HIS CONCERNS WITH THE HEBREW BELIEVERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF NOT FALLING BACK INTO JUDAISM.

JUDAISM BELIEF IS THAT THE LAW IS THE WAY TO GOD. BELIEVING THAT IF THEY WILL LIVE BY THE LAW, THAT WILL GET THEM TO HEAVEN.

WHERE CHRISTIANS BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE SAVED BY GRACE AND JESUS IS THE WAY, THE ACCEPTABLE REDEMPTION PLAN FOR THE WORLD.

I LIKE TO TALK ABOUT 3 THING TODAY.

THE WORD OF GOD IS QUICK AND POWERFUL.

THE WORD IS SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGED SWORD.

THE WORD IS A DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART.

A. THE WORD OF GOD IS QUICK AND POWERFUL.

THE WORD IS THE SPOKEN WORD OR THE PREACHED WORD. THE ESSENTIAL WORD OF GOD.

THE HEBREW WRITER SAID THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS QUICK, MEANING LIVING, WHEREAS POWERFUL MEANS ENERGIZING.

THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND IT ENERGIZES.

THE WORD OF GOD IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF LIFE, NOTHING WAS CREATED BEFORE THE WORD, AND IN THE WORD WAS LIFE.

THIS WORD IS THE VERY MIND OF GOD. THIS WORD IS THE ROAD MAP IN HOW TO LIVE YOUR LIFE BEFORE GOD. THIS WORD IS THE SUBSTAINER OF OF LIFE.

EPHESIANS 6:17 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”

B. THE WORD IS SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGED SWORD.

THE WORD OF GOD IS PIERCING , IT IS CUTTING, IT’S A SURGEON SCALPEL, IT CUTS THROUGH YOUR SOUL AND SPIRIT.

THE WORD OF GOD REVEALS AND PENETRATE YOUR INVISIBLE OR COVERED UP PART OF YOU THAT YOU TRY TO KEEP SECRET FROM OTHER’S.

The idea of a two-edged sword is used to describe the nature of the words which proceed from the mouth of the glorified Son of God. THIS IS JESUS HIMSELF WHO SPEAK TO US THROUGH HIS WORD.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:25 “and thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.”

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CONVICTING AND WILL GET THE TRUTH OUT OF YOU OR WIIL EXPOSE YOU TO THE WORD .

C. THE WORD IS A DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART.

THE WORD KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE THINKING BEFORE YOU THINK IT. THE WORD KNOWS THE REASON FOR YOUR THINKING.

THE WORD KNOWS THE INTENTS OF THE HEART.

THE WORD KNOWS IF YOUR HEART IS SINCERE OR GENUINE TOWARDS OTHER’S. THE WORD KNOWS THE MOTIVE BEHIND YOUR HEART.

1 PETER 4:1-2 “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”
