What is Middle School Church?

THE BIG IDEA: Middle School Church is a place designed for me!

1. To meet me where I’m at.

2. To help me get where I’m going!

What the Bible says:

Ephesians 4:15-16 NLT “…We will speak the truth in love, growingin every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each partdoes its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

Middle School Church is:

1. A place to grow as friends.

a. Good friends tell the truth out of love.

i. “…We will speak the truth in love…”

b. Good friends help each other.

i. “…As each part does its own special work; it helps the other parts grow…”

2. A place to grow closer to God.

c. “…growing in every way more and more like Christ…”

The thing that makes Middle School Church unique is me!

· The more I put into it, the more I will get out of it!

o That means that the more I ask relevant questions and make constructive comments, the more the other students and I will:

ü Grow as Friends

ü Grow closer to God

· Middle School Church will only ever be boring if I make it boring!

Do you have a book of the Bible or a specific topic you think we should study together? Come ready to discuss your ideas next week!

· There will be a prize drawing next week for anyone who memorizes and can recite the scripture from this week!
