No Other Gospel

Galatians 1:1–10 ESV
Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Not by Man but by God
Galatians 1:1 ESV
Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—
There is something important to see here Paul is not an apostle by man, or given a diploma, Paul was an apostle through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the Dead.
Paul was a follower of Christ because he wanted to follow Christ. He was chosen to follow Christ.
So there is Introduction to Galatians and some people bypass them some people don’t but hear what it says.

Paul’s letter to the Galatians was addressed to a group of churches in Galatia, a region of present-day Turkey. Paul had preached the gospel in these churches. He wrote to counter those who taught that Christians must be circumcised in order to be accepted by God. Paul began with a defense of his apostolic authority (chs. 1–2), then made it clear that all believers, Jew and Gentile alike, enjoy complete salvation in Christ (chs. 3–4). In chapters 5–6 Paul showed how the gospel of grace leads to true freedom and godly living. Perhaps the central message of Galatians is “a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ” (2:16). Paul wrote this letter sometime between A.D. 48 and 55.

Galatians 1:2–5 ESV
and all the brothers who are with me, To the churches of Galatia: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Reminder
Here is a synonym of reminder
REMEMBER
to bring an image or idea from the past into the mind
He reminds the church of the grace that comes from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
What is this grace? Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age.
Too often Church Pastors they go through Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians as a quick study. But we forget that these are letters.
These are not letters that need to be written has history, These are letters that need to be reminded to the churches today of Who GOD IS.
Here is something to remember while we go through the Letters to the churches of Galatia.
Paul Preached here.
These people had the opportunity to hear the Apostle Paul preach the Word of God, teaching them how to worship God and be a Church that Glorifies God and not man.
Let’s look into the this letter
Galatians 1:6–7 ESV
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
So let’s imagine we are this church of Galatia and we are sitting here saying we are doing good, we are doing something right and you receive this letter from Paul and the first thing you see, of course after seeing it came from Paul, it says I AM ASTONISHED that you are so quickly deserting him
There is one key Element to remember in these two verses:
THERE IS ONLY ONE GOSPEL
He starts to say there is some who trouble you and distort the Gospel. Paul goes further stating here
Galatians 1:8–9 ESV
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
Even if we or an angel from heaven.
Why does he say Angel from Heaven
Well what what was Satan. HE was an ANGEL. Fellow Angels fell from Heaven with him. So not all Angels will preach the Gospel.
People will lead you astray
Galatians 1:10 ESV
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
This a question we need to ask ourselves every morning when we get up. Make this a prayer
Say God, be with me so that I remember to please you and not MAN.
There was something I heard over this past week and I want to make clear in front of everyone hear.
There is misconception of First Southern Baptist Church and people make walk out or get angry with me and that’s fine because nothing will stop me from believing this.
This church is not and was not Ron Trummell’s Church
This church is not and was not Floyd Banks’ church
This church is not and will not be Erich Hall’s Church
This Church is and will be God’s church. PERIOD.
First Southern Baptist Church is here today because God wants it here in Pahrump, NV and He is not finished with it yet.
