John the Baptist and those who come to believe and follow Jesus as result of John’s witness.

Big Idea: Witnesses to the majesty of God do not have be coerced to testify to His greatness; they just will.
…Through the witness of the herald God prepared beforehand, many would believe and have life.
Those who believe and have life, will extend the witness and others will see, believe, and find life.
Those others will in turn, witness to the majesty of God.

He came to bear witness about the light
That all might believe.
He was not the light
He came to bear witness about the light
John 1:15 - John bore witness
This was he of whom I said, he who comes after me ranks before me because he was before me.
John 1:19 - And this is the testimony of John....
John the apostle circles back to build upon the foundation he has laid about John the Baptist and His witness to the person and work of Christ.
