2 Timothy 2:1–4 (NKJV)
1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
Describe Grace
Grace is the unmerited enabling power given to us to overcome things we would not be able overcome naturally, to endure things we would not otherwise be able to endure and to accomplish things we would not naturaly be able to accomplish by our stregnth.
Grace in Christ Jesus
John 1:14 “14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:16-17 “16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for [upon] grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
Without a doubt there is unmeasurable, unending grace in Christ Jesus
To help us overcome any difficulty
To accomplish what is impossible
To endure all things.
It is becuase of this grace and in this grace that Paul tells Timothys to be strong.
What Paul was writing to Timothy was heavy stuff,
Things that would very difficult even impossible for the human will and human strength to be to follow through and do.
yet with every word of God there is grace
Gaurateed Knowledge
For everything God expects us to do, God expects us to overcome, God expects us to endure. There is Grace.
God knows that our stregths is frail .
Whatever he has purposed to do in our life and through our life was not based on the capacity of our stregnth but the capacity of his exceedingly great grace.
Eph 3:20 “20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”
Zechariah 4:6–7 NKJV
6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. 7 ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ”
Sometimes living for God in this perilious times, wicked time can seem like trying to climb a great mountain.
We can see from a far, as we hear the words smoke to us about consecration and separation from the world, and think it almost impossible to live such a live in this world and in this time.
Yes the Mountain is great when you see it through the lense of your stregth,
However it is it plain when you see through the grace of Christ.
Through The grace of Jesus Christ is you will conquer the mountain and bring with you the capstone of that mountain.
Romans 8:37 “37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Titus 2:11–14 NKJV
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
It is the grace itself that will teach you, and enable you to deny ungodliness, worldy lust and live rightheously and godly in these present age.
Hebrews 12:28 (NKJV)
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
What enables us to serve God acceptably, in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation is the grace of God.
There is grace.
Persecution as a result of living Godly.
2 Timothy 3:10–12 NKJV
10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
We must be afraid or be anxious of the difficulty we will face as a result of our resolve to live Godly in this present life.
Let it come what may, there will be the grace of God the will keep our mind, our soul, our heart from being impacted by the fire of the trial.
Example of Shadrach, Meshac and Abdenego.
Daniel 3.
Shadrach and Meshac and Abdenego had resolved in their heart that they will live godly and they will not give in to the pressure to bow down and worship the idol.
Sometimes we kind be tired of the fighting the pressure and the weight of the temptation that is in this world, and we may be tempted to give in and surrender,.
We must have a decided heart to live goldy and serve only God reggardly of the diffculty that we might face.
When we are thrown in the fire, the fire won’t consume us. The grace of God will protect us and keep us in the midst of the fire.

How do i get access to this grace

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The word translated come in Greek is literally “draw near”
WOrld English BIble “Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.”
Those who will obtain the grace in time of need are those who have drawn near the throne of Grace.
Example of Daniel and his three freinds
Daniel and his three freinds were serving the King of Nabuchednezzer in the palace as one of the wise men.
One day a big trial came upon all the wise men of babylon.
The king had a dream that bothered him and he wanted the wise men to tell him of his dream and interpret it.
The wise men were in distress saying to the king that “There is not a man on earth who can tell the king’s matter; therefore no king, lord, or ruler has ever asked such things of any magician, astrologer, or Chaldean”
Daniel 2:11–12 (NKJV)
11 It is a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”
12 For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave the command to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
Daniel asked for time to interpret the Kings dream
Daniel 2:17–19 (NKJV)
17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,
18 that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
The other wise men were far from the throne of grace, so the secret to overcome this trial and not consumed by it was not revealed to them.
However, those who drew near the grace of God, received help in time of need.
Walking the floor, in anxiety won’t solve your problem, you won’t overcome your mountain that way. Get down on your Knees and pray and you will see the grace of God carrying you through, making the mountain plain, revealing to you the hidden things of darkness.
Daniel 2:47 NKJV
47 The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.”
The Kings was astonished at the manifestation of the grace of God.
What no wiseman with all his education could reveal daniel revealed the secret to the Kings through the grace of God.

2. Resolve

James 1:6–8 NKJV
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
When there is doubt and double mindness. No resolve in acting or following the Lord.
No resolve in walking through the difficulty , if we pray for grace we will not see it.
There is got be resolve in the heart.
There are those who struggle with temptation and worldiness, and pray for God’s grace to come and make them stand but they have still divided mind.
Even if God came and delivered them they will go back again into the old sin.
Example of the four lepers.
2 Kings 6, 7.
There was a famine in Israel because f the siege of the city by the Syrian Army.
A donkey’s head was sold for 80 pieces of silver, and a dove’s dung five pieces of silver.
Certain women were eating their children
Everyone inspite of this great famine withing the city no one would dare go to the syrians
The four lepers said “Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also.
Therfore they decided to go the th syrians.
When they resolved to go to the syrian camp and began to take several steps the grace of God began to work
When they arrived at the camp, it was desrted, no one was there.
2 Kings 7:6 “6 For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!””
