Outline & Initial Notes
With
all
prayer and petition
pray at
all
times
in the Spirit
and with this in view, be on the alert
with
all
perseverance and petition
for
all
the saints,
NOTES -
What is the difference between prayer and petition?
We should pray at all times.
How do we do this?
We should pray in the Spirit.
What does this mean?
We should be on the alert.
What does this mean?
and pray on my behalf
that utterance may be given me
in the opening of my mouth,
to make known with
boldness
the mystery of the gospel,
for which I am an ambassador in chains;
that in proclaiming it
I may speak
boldly
,
as I ought to speak.
NOTES -
We should not be ashamed to ask people to pray for us.
Our physical comfort is less important than sharing the Gospel with boldness.
The mystery of the Gospel made known is Jesus Christ.
We should ask others to pray that we would have boldness in sharing the Gospel.
The Gospel ought to be shared with boldness.
The Gospel ought to be shared with boldness even if we are in chains.
