Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do
justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 5:2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from
you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from
ancient days.
Micah 1:1 The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
1. Micah prophesies judgment on all of Israel (1:1-5)
Micah 1:3 For behold, the LORD is coming out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the
high places of the earth.
Micah 1:5 All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is
the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the high place of Judah? Is it not
Jerusalem?
2. Micah prophesies judgment on Samaria (1:6-9)
Micah 1:8 For this I will lament and wail; I will go stripped and naked; I will make lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.
Job 30:29 I am a brother of jackals and a companion of ostriches.
3. Micah prophecies judgment on Judah (1:10-2:11)
Micah 1:10 Tell it not in Gath; weep not at all; in Beth-le-aphrah roll yourselves in the dust.
2 Samuel 1:20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Ashkelon...
Micah 1:13 Harness the steeds to the chariots, inhabitants of Lachish; it was the beginning of sin
to the daughter of Zion, for in you were found the transgressions of Israel.
Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
