The End...

Ecclesiastes 12:1–8 NKJV
Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”: While the sun and the light, The moon and the stars, Are not darkened, And the clouds do not return after the rain; In the day when the keepers of the house tremble, And the strong men bow down; When the grinders cease because they are few, And those that look through the windows grow dim; When the doors are shut in the streets, And the sound of grinding is low; When one rises up at the sound of a bird, And all the daughters of music are brought low. Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets. Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, Or the golden bowl is broken, Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, Or the wheel broken at the well. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it. “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher, “All is vanity.”

Death and Life

We don’t want to think about death.
We don’t want to talk about death.
We can’t imagine being separated by death from those we love.

We are all going to DIE!

We are all terminal with the disease of sin.
Hebrews 9:27 NKJV
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

We must not presume on the future

James 4:13–16 NKJV
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

Our Times are in God’s Hands

Psalm 31:15 NKJV
My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.

Our Life PURPOSE is to do the will of God

God has a purpose for our lives.
God’s purpose is to do His will.
John 4:34 NKJV
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
We don’t have time to do everything. We only have time to do the will of God.

We are not ready to LIVE until we are prepared to DIE

Matthew 16:24–26 NKJV
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Death is not THE END for those who do the will of God.

1 John 2:15–17 NKJV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Those who do their own will in this life will lose everything.
Those who do the will of God in this life will gain everything.

Are you PREPARED to die?

If not, you are not ready to live.
What must you let go of to do the will of God?
How long will you delay?
NOW is the time to be saved.
2 Corinthians 6:1–2 NKJV
We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Now is the time to do the will of God.
