the book of Judges today, we meet God's 8th judge, Jephthah. A man whose faith is built upon what God has done for his country, but whose future he has taken into his own hands. We see many lives lost in these two chapters. It is Jesus who gives life in His great mercy, so that life may prevail over the darkness of the times. Thank God He has never truly abandoned us.
