Intro

You know what I have learned? Talking through doors or through floors is difficult. The girls will always come to the door and knock. Then I will in a very dignified way yell, “What?” Then they will talk through the door, “Oh I need such and such.” But you see though their arguments may be wonderful all I hear is Waaa Waa Waaaa. To which I reply, still through the door mind you (Or up the hall, down the street, into the next building maybe), “What?”
and round and round we go?
It honestly feels like a three stooges sketch really.
Read with me today
Matthew 5:3–10 NIV
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Lets Break this down
Blessed are those who recognize their need for God, if there hearts mourn over that need they will be made strong as they take on His Meekness. Then they will be ready to steward His creation.
Now we are here today.

Hunger for Gods Righteousness.

Matthew 5:6 NIV
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Righteous?
Righteousness means: acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin
Righteuosness follows, Meekness in this for this purpose, as we begin to take on The power and strength of the Lord in humility, we begin to be made Holy and righteous before God.
But I thought Jesus that? He did. He was, what we couldn’t be. He was what we could not have been, so that we now, can become what we should have always been.
That Holy, righteous, pure, and in perfect union with God almighty.
Jesus because Jesus is Holy, doesn’t mean we don’t have to be. It simply means that now, through the cross of Christ, you and I now have the opportunity to be conformed to His image through sanctification.
Leviticus 19:2 NIV
“Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.
Why does God want you Holy? so that you can know Him and so that He can know you.
You see Sin is a door between you and God. God speaks but we have a hard time hearing because of the Sin. the Door is closed when sin rules. you and I will try and speak to God but it feels in vain. Why? Because the door is closed when we walk in unrighteousness.

Righteousness = Freedom

Matthew 5:8 NIV
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Just like when I am yelling through the door, that's how it feels for many believers prayer lives. Why Because the door in your heart is closed due to Sin.
You say, “pastor I’m a Christian, I thought I was fine? You might be a christian, but are you walking in the Freedom that Jesus?
To truly walk in the freedom that Christ bought, we must allow Christ to sanctify and make you and I Holy and Pure.

Open the Door to heart and let God make you Holy.

Invite worship team up
For then you and I will see and know God like we never dreamed.
So picture it. the girls and I yelling back and forth for up to 10 min. lol we can hardheaded. until one side cracks and says, “can we please open the door?
Then comes understanding and clarity, and sudden;y I realize they weren’t talking about donuts, but my car is on fire or something?
When the door is open, relationship is brought back to where it should have been, face to face and open.
That is what is God is saying to us. Let me make you Holy so that you can be in uninterrupted relationship.
