Jeremiah 29:5 NKJV
5 Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit.
Ezekiel 28:25–26 NKJV
25 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God.” ’ ”

1. Why do I care about you building your life?

The first reason I care about you building your life is I know the witness it is to the power of God to change lives and restore people.

another reason is the difference between fantasy and vision.

Visions, even ones that come from God take work and time.

Habakkuk 2:2–4 NKJV
2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.
Holy Ghost Rabbit trail.
Your Life is a testimony.
Your life is not a joke, it’s a gift.
In order to grow we have to look back.
As disciples, we look back so that what is behind us does not show up in front of us at the worst possible moments, like a moments of our great success.
We do not look back to be limited but rather to overcome and show the Glory of God.

I hope you are taking some time asking the Lord in prayer what He wants you doing.

End of Rabbit trail.
Remember what we where talking about a few minutes ago ? visions, even ones that come from God, take work, hard work takes time.
Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV
2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.
when I think about ‘discerning God’s will, ’ I realize that when I started trying to write a vision down, I was more like a kid with a catalog before Christmas.
writing, not texting. writing helps us to refine our thinking. pray, write, think, rewrite, read what you wrote to another person out loud rewrite again. Pray, rewrite.
writing, re-writing. Trying to do the will of God, writing again is the process of making it plain.
when we talk about life it takes time.
Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
Take the time to do what it takes to make the vision plain.
it is God’s vision. It is not you trying to get God to sign off on your ideas, your are not submitting your vision to God.
Rather, we are seeking God, to find His will for our lives. then we are looking for brothers and sisters to help us work it out. (the Church).

2. Building a life, (build houses). takes time.

Proverbs 13:11 NKJV
11 Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.
it takes time to build a life.
there is nothing wrong with staying at the 80 long enough to be able to save money, and prepare ourselves for the next level.
As we take our time and build we will have what we need.
Proverbs 21:20 NKJV
20 There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it.
it takes time to have what we feel like we want out of life.
I have to realize to get where I’m trying to go I’m going to do the opposite of what I did in my old life. My old life was instant gratification.
Part of my maturity process is learning to think long term.

3. We have to learn to be financially responsible.

Ecclesiastes 5:4 NKJV
4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed—
when we pay our bills and deal with the wreckage of our past we set ourselves up for the future.
first of all its the right thing to do.
second it helps us to see the decisions we make under stress. Helping us see the kind of decisions we make under pressure helps us to be careful with our resources because it has to do with vision.
