INTRODUCTION - If someone desribed you with the word always: what would they say you are always doing?

Be Humble - (12:3)

Romans 12:3 ESV
3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
grace given to me - This isn’t salvation, because that grace was given to us all. But it was given to Paul for an Apostle.
I say to everyone among you - That includes you.
not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think - This is a temptation for everyone of us. IF you don’t think this is true, then it is more true than you realize.
The big problem here is that not only do you think yourself high, you put everyone else as low.
but to think with sober judgment - serious and objective. BUT HOW? Let friends help, take a test.

Remember God Gave You What You Need - (12:3)

Romans 12:3 ESV
3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.
hach according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. - something here.....I need more faith the farther I go in Christianity. …We will often feel that we don’t have what we need. But God will give it to you as you take a step towards Him.

Do Your Part - (12:4-5)

Romans 12:4 ESV
4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function,
one body many members - how do the many members relate to the body. They serve the overall ministry of the body.
they do not all have the same function -
Romans 12:5 ESV
5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
members one of another - I am concerned for you. You should be concerned for me.

Use Your Strengths - (12:6-8)

Romans 12:6 ESV
6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;
gifts - this is the one time in all of scripture gifts are talked about.
Romans 12:7 ESV
7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;
Romans 12:8 ESV
8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
