‘The Power of Relational Prayer’

Matthew 7:7–11 NKJV
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

1. This passage is not the blank check as it is preached. that we would ask God to fulfill our wordly lust. however in contrast it is a blank Check to believe that my prayers reach higher than the ceiling.

Matthew 7:7 NKJV
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
when i say this is not a blank check for our wordly lust doesn't mean that we can not ask for our daily bread.
Matthew 6:11 NKJV
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Psalm 33:18–19 NKJV
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, 19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 34:10 NKJV
10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
Proverbs 30:8–9 NKJV
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me; 9 Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.
Genesis 28:20 NKJV
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,
its okay to ask God for your needs, it is even okay to ask God for your wants, its okay to ask God for your desires. it’s okay to ask God for whatever be open with God. As you go to the Lord of all the universe not with the Lust of the world. Go to Him with the things you need.
Matthew 6:19–21 NKJV
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
know the deference between trinkets and treasure.
ask the Lord
seek the Lord
you will find the Lord.

2. God wants to be asked, sought, He wants you to knock.

Matthew 7:8 NKJV
8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
the Lord wants us to come in confidence.
our heavenly father wants us to ask, Him.
seek, him.
knock on the door.
you will find Him.
you will find success in prayer.

3. The Lord your God is a Good and loving Father.

Matthew 7:9–11 NKJV
9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
hey may not give you a Benz. if you need a car it might be a Buick.
The Lord will not give you a stone if you ask for bread
if you ask for a fish you will not get a diamond back.
if i being a sinful man know how to give good gifts how much more can God.
so ask!
seek.
