The Carnal Cannot Keep You!

Matthew 6:19–34 (NKJV)
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
19 - 21 Do not allow your thinking to be joined to another thinking that will cause you to not remain in the awaken state that regardless of the circumstance, I am still better than - Greater than!
Lay - To Put, To give - Where you put your focus the most is what you will ultimately become
This is why Jesus is giving these instructions to not focus on those things that are vulnerable, only put, give power to those things that are impenetrable!
Your Joy cannot be penetrated by the trouble when you remain in place and realize that moving out of this state is not an option!
22 - 23 Do not allow anything to distort, distract, or cover up your vision -
The Lamp is The Eye - remember, the reference to the eye symbolizes the importance - God says that we are the Apple Of His Eye - We are important, vitally important to Him!
If we allow our vision to be darkened or changed, due to weakened belief, we then begin to see things from a defeated state - which is how doubt enters in!
But Jesus says we have choice to determine how great that darkness get - In other words, we can cast down the darkness!
24 - 28 And when we succumb to the darkness due to leaning to our own understanding, we then become double minded and begin to consider ourselves less than what God has called us to be!
1 Peter 2:9-10 (NKJV) 9  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10  who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Your vision is so vitally important because what you see, has the potential to curve your thinking, which is why Christ Jesus is instructing us to be steadfast in God because you will love one more than the other when you entertain that other!
Jesus is providing some very important instructions in this text - Carnality cannot carry where The Holy Spirit can - We tend to rely on our own thinking and aide the promises of God, but oh-contraire - we cannot be double minded when trusting God - You are in the right place in Him - especially knowing who you are in Him and you cannot allow anything to move you away from that!
We must seek Him First - Not just one time, but continuously seek! Seek - “Choose to follow”
Again - God won’t make us do anything, even though He can - We must remain determined that because we have chose to follow Him - we realize 1 Timothy 6:17 “17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.”
Our Trust is in Him - I don’t have to chase down this, or that, God has provided all things for us to enjoy! You determine whether or not you will allow your Joy to enter in!
