Heavy rain fell across our area and caused flooding in War, Warriormine and Berwind

There were three driving bridges rendered useless in War alone.

For several days there was really only one way into town.

Gov. Justice has declared a state of emergency for six WV counties and four of those are in our association (McDowell, Mingo, Wyoming, and Fayette).

He's also made Natl. Guard resources available to help in KY where deaths have occurred.

Mercer Cty. seems to have dodged a major bullet.

KY and VA Grundy/Bandy/Pilgrims Knob area, but perhaps they as Rotary could assist a fellow Rotary chapter there.

SBC DR efforts our distinctive is cooperation and that was on display in War with people from several different associations and several sources of resources coming together to show Jesus as we spoke of Jesus.

We do this to because I believe God has called us to help in this way. We wish to make Jesus known and help our fellow man.
