It’s a stern, severe and solemn message. What’s unique is that it doesn't correct behavior like the Corinthian letters - but Paul comes in like a sledge hammer and is as direct as we’ve ever seen him.

It does not correct conduct but it is corrective. The people in the city were in great danger. Why? B/c the foundations were being attacked and everything was being threathened. The good news that had saved them was being lost.
