The Blood of the Lamb

The Blood of of the Lamb has already won the victory!

John 16:33 NASB95
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Jesus explains that we will see troubles but that He has overcome the world!

The Word of our Testimony

Our witness to God’s good news (the Gospel), His love for us, and His faithfulness have given us the word of testimony.

The word testimony comes from the Greek word, μαρτυρία -ας, ἡ; (martyria), n. testimony; witness. This is where we get the word martyr, although we may define martyr a bit differently than a witness.

Our testimony ( our account of what God has done in our lives) serves as a piece to overcoming. Do not forget what He has done for you!

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”

The Love of Life Surrendered

It is because they did not love their lives even unto death that they walked in the victory. They did not fear death. They did not attempt to save themselves or their lives.

Luke 17:33 ““Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.”

We need not worry about living in this world or not, we need to focus on living for Him!

How do we overcome?
Where do we find our victory?
