The Prophet

Jeremiah was to be a Prophet
God changed his life from being a priest
God called him during a most evil time in Judah
Jeremiah was a youth we will find out
he is not a good speaker, does not know what to say
But God has some pretty special things to say to Jeremiah
and to us
Read Jeremiah 1 1-10.
Pray

I formed You

V 4-5
God forms us all individually
he gives us the genetic makeup to be what He wants
he gives us the disposition He needs to accomplish our mission
Psalm 139:13–16 LEB
Indeed you created my inward parts; you wove me in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was created secretly, and intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my embryo, and in your book they all were written— days fashioned for me when there was not one of them.
Jeremiah was formed to be the courageous, trusting in God, weeping Prophet that God wanted
God gave him the schooling, experiences, temperament, and all those other things to be The Jeremiah that He needs
The same for us His children. He made us exactly who we are,
for the purpose that he called us for

just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love, having predestined us to adoption through Jesus Christ to himself according to the good pleasure of his will,
Romans 8:29 (LEB)
because those whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be the firstborn among many brothers.

So then, be careful and do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because you will conceive and bear a son. No razor will touch his head, because the boy will be a Nazirite of God from birth. And it is he who will begin to deliver Israel from the hand of the Philistines.” And the woman came and told her husband, saying, “A man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of an angel of God, very awesome. I did not ask him from where he came, and he did not tell me his name.
