AM I doing the right thing?
He was going back to reaffirm that the revelation he had was from God.
He wanted to make sure that the Gospel he was preaching was coming from God and not from him.
Even though he was being the preacher among the Gentiles, he still was learning and studying from the people who are influential to him.
Beware of your surroundings
Paul had people that he was easy to talk to you and Peter had people that was set for him to talk to.
However, Paul made something very clear
God shows no partiality
God shows no Partiality.
It didn’t matter if they were saved or not saved, circumcised or uncircumcised, Gentile or Jew.
The Gospel needs to be told to everyone no matter what.
Paul reached out to people that the Apostles didn’t reach out to.
We are meant to work with each other.
When you look at school, you have different Groups
Different Groups
You had the jocks, the cheerleaders, the band geeks, the glee club, the people who were focused on strictly schoolwork, the gothic people, the outsiders, the teacher’s pets.
So many different groups.
Each one of need to take on one group and reach out to them.
When we are a part of that group we begin to act like them and have the same mannerisms has them until something they do we dont like.
Thats exactly what Paul was saying here.
If you walk like a duck and talk like a duck you must be a Duck
If you walk like a duck and talk like dog then you are most likely not a duck.
The same goes with our walk of faith.
If you walk like a Christian and talk like a Christian, people will see you as a Christian.
But if you walk like the World but talk like a Christian It gives people a different outlook on Christianity.
There was in the scripture
Hypocrisy
I knew someone that said “I don’t go to church because everyone in there are hypocrites”
Yes. this statement is true.
Why?
We are hypocrites because we are Sinners.
We Screw up.
We have a law of Man everywhere that we must follow, if you don’t you get in trouble.
But that doesn’t matter people it doesnt matter if you follow the law to T if you dont believe in Jesus Christ, you are not justified.
Our Spiritual selves died to the law and began a new life in Christ
We Rebuild
We rebuild ourselves.
Because God has tore down our sinful lives and showed us what was going on and because he died, we are able to live with Christ.
This last scripture says something very important.
If righteousness were through the law then Christ died for no purpose.
IF man could save us, anyone in here could save us.
The president could save, then Christ on that Cross and getting beaten to an inch of his life would have died for nothing.
But that’s not what happens.
Christ took mine, yours and our sin and never looked back.
BELIEVING IN HIM IS THE ONLY THING TO SAVE US.
THIS IS THE GOSPEL
