12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
paul is call for a response here for what God has done for all of us who are saved and the response is one that should last our whole lives He also makes a inference to 2cor 5:20
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Paul here is call himself and ambassador as well as every beleiver
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, wiLiving the mind of Christll of God.
true Christian worship is a matter only of inner attitude. But the inner attitude is basic to acceptable worship, as Paul makes clear in v. 2 by stressing the “renewing of your mind.” And it is just this involvement of the mind, renewed so that it can again understand God aright, that makes this worship appropriate and true.
calls on us to resist the pressure to “be squeezed into the mold” of this world and the “pattern” of behavior that typifies it (see 1 Cor. 7:31).
31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
Let’s not get caught up in he world
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Let’s stay in our own lane
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
We all have a job to do
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness
if we all work together the work that God has given us would grow greatly
eph 4:16 “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
1co 1:10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
