Restore, Revive, Rebuild
Restore, Revive, Rebuild
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
There are many NBA teams that have had some good seasons and horrible seasons especially when the team suffers many injuries during the season with key players. There is this one particular team that went through some issues over the last let’s say 5 years where they struggled to get back where there had left off after winning 4 Championships they it a hard road on the basketball court.
It took them some time to get back to where they were. They lost their top key players to injuries that took them some time to recover. They got new key players that were young and still needed some practice in the NBA world. Yet they did not give up hope, they kept practicing and encouraging each other even when they were right there at the championship door.
Here in our scripture today we find Paul sharing about how we are clay vessels and that we will go through some hard times in this life. Our vessels, this earthly vessel may get some cracks and bruises in them, yet we will be restored, revived, and he will rebuild us to a stronger vessel in him. This is where #Rebound comes into play.
When we talk about being restored we are saying to God that we want to be brought back to our former or original state of mind and strength. This is where we find that we are afflicted on every side but have not been crushed. As his vessel he wants to restore you back to your joy, happiness, peace or whatever that may have been. What needs to be restored in your life, in your family, or even in your church.
After we are restored, we will be revived. The word says we are perplexed by not driven to despair. He will take us back to that place and remind us that what we once had we will have again if we continue to press towards him and seek him he will regenerate us all.
Then, the best part of all is the rebuilding. This piece of the puzzle I believe is the most important part of #Rebound. Why you ask because this part takes the whole team to get back to where you once was when victory was happening. You see in rebuilding recover from all of your set backs with the help of first God and then the people of God that surrounds you. The rest of the scripture says, that we are struck down but not destroyed. When a building is destroyed or a persons spirit is broken and rebuild must happen, why because God said so as his children of God.
#Rebound means we have bounced back from the fall and jumped up to reclaim what is ours.
Remember the NBA team I was speaking of in the beginning that had to restore, revive, and rebuild? This team became the NBA champions after enduring may obstibles, trades, ad injuries. This 2021-22 NBA championship team is the Warriors. They overcame by working together and trusting God, the coach, and each other that they could overcome anything that came there way. They pushed, pressed, practiced and listened to the instructions need to be winners. They #Rebounded
