Good Teaching?what exactly is Good Teaching? Well it has been demonstrated that with Good Teaching the learner will be able to comprehend, understand, and apply the following objectives therefore accomplishing the intended goal.

Let’s begin by reading Romans 10:8  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

To begin with as I was led to this particular scripture, Saints of God it give me a profound, perspicacious, and prestigious privilege to present a new theological term. This new term is called Catechetical Instruction. 1.Catechetical Instruction is the ability to instruct systematically by giving religious instruction in such a manner that provides appropriate pious questions with authentic and accurate biblical answers. 2. Catechetical Instruction is demonstrating the ability to give exegetical expositions and explanations that expound on correct biblical interpretation of scripture.

3. Catechetical Instruction is also teaching folk what the word of God says and means with accuracy.

The central message of Christianity is Christ’s Love for humanity and the Church. The Church is a called out body of believer’s in Jesus Christ whose called the Ekklesia.

This is very important because the whole reason for Christianity is that Jesus died and became the Propitiation, the substitutionary sacrificial Lamb that had been slain in eternity past to saved this present age from sin, death, and destruction. Because Gal 1:4 says 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Christ’s love for us supersede our human understanding and comprehension. and furthermore Jesus Christ’s sacrifice is the ultimate gift to mankind therefore one of the greatest teaching of the bible is the Catechectical Instruction of what Jesus did for humankind. He died for the sins of the whole world.

Listen folk when learning the bible you want to be taught 1. What really happened, 2. How it effects or affect you directly, and 3. What are the lasting results of the teaching. In other words you ought to want “Good Teaching”.

Folks Good Teaching is better than Great Preaching!!! Don’t get me wrong I love good preaching, but I’ve discovered that Great Preaching will draw you in the House but Good Teaching will keep you in the House of God.

So let’s review our definition again 1. Catechetical Instruction is the ability to systematically give religious instruction in such a manner that provides appropriate pious questions with authentic and accurate biblical answers. 2.Catechetical Instruction is also the ability to give exegetical expositions and explanations that expound on correct biblical interpretation of scripture.

3. Catechetical Instruction is also teaching folk what the word of God says with accuracy.

Look at Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; In other words the NCV says 8 This is what the Scripture says: “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart.” That is the teaching of faith that we are telling.

Every Christian Religious Teacher ought to be teaching straight from the scriptures. Verse 8 says This is what the scriptures say… Not what Raymond Allen says.... but what does God say about the matter. And to the believer, the word of God should be near your mouth and in your heart. David said in Psalm 16:7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: My reins also instruct me in the night seasons. David is saying “Lord you teach me your word while I’m sleep and whatever you instruct me on in the night season that’s what I’m going to preach about in the morning light” and that’s God’s word near me and in my mouth.

Then David also said in Psalms 119 :11 Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. And that’s the example of the word being in your heart.

Listen to me Saints of God Talking to you about the tea in China and everything else is not what gives you strength.... No no no But being real about the scriptures That’s Power… If we stay with the bible we can’t go wrong.

Listen I know that there are concerns and appetites for a socially conscious message,a preach the newspaper headlines gospel, or an economic insight message, or a pastoral message of precedence that prepares the membership for life in the 21st century. I know that.. But the pulse on any of these subject matters has to be from the word of God and not my philosophy not my psychology, not my ideology not my economic view and not my sociological take on things and not even my world view or how you look at the world from your eyes. And Paul says in Romans 10:8 that the word of power ought to be near you and in your mouth. Preachers if you don’t teach or preach nothing else Preach to them that God’s word have to be in their mouths coming from their hearts. Because what’s from the heart comes reaches the heart. Well that’s verse 8.

In Verse 9 the bible says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. I say this nearly every Sunday Morning after preaching when we give the invitation to discipleship.

. Romans 10:9 say If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus. Folks I confess and we all ought to confess that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior…Because in actuality we all deserve a guilty verdict. But Jesus being the propitiation took our place for our sins.

And the next part of verse 10 says And shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved. This is called the Doctrine of soteriology. This means that if we believe that Jesus came to die for our sins, we will be saved from our sins. and that’s the act of Salvation. Salvation is the act of Jesus rescuing us, giving us, security and safety from the penalty of death, hell, and the grave. And that’s why the word says that we are saved by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. And you and I can not get Salvation or be rescued or have security or have safety or participate in the doctrine of soteriology unless we believe in our heart that Jesus is God’s only begotten Son. WE believe that Jesus is the Very Son of God, Chosen before the foundations of the world to be our Propitiation because scripture say For God so Loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God sent His Son to die for us then God Himself raised Jesus up from the dead and Jesus declared All Power is given unto me in heaven and on earth All authority All Exousia.

Now here’s where I meddle…We preachers preach a powerful message and when the invitation to discipleship is offered we spend two minutes maybe three asking folk to repent and make a godly change in their lives, only two minutes asking them to change their hearts and be regenerated.

But the whole message ought to be on how to get saved, especially if they are lost. Because the worse thing in the world is to live die and then go to hell. What a waste !!!

One man said to his atheist friend Johnny why are you going down the street down there to that little store front church at the corner of the street and hear that little preacher? The atheist’s friend said Johnny you don’t even believe in God.... Johnny said that’s right , you’re telling the truth, I don’t believe in no God, “But that little preacher down there he believes in GOD so much until I just like to hear him talk about his God. I’ve told this story a thousand times and what I get out of it this time is that the messenger has to make the message appealing enough that it meets the needs of the masses on behalf of the Master even if they haven’t been converted yet. I know this is true. And just because a non believer haven’t yet been converted, Don’t give up on them. Sometimes it might be your dynamic personality that draws people to your ministry.. And it may eventually change their lives.

In other words Jesus said and I if I be lifted up from the earth I will draw all men unto me.. Preachers all we are suppose to do is lift Jesus. Jesus does the drawing. We do the lifting of the name of Jesus and He does the drawing. Type in Amen

And so Let’s review the definition of Catechetical Instruction. Catechetical Instruction is the ability to give systematically religious instruction in such a manner that provides appropriate pious questions with authentic and accurate biblical answers. 2. Catechetical Instruction is also exegetical expositions and explanations that expound on correct biblical interpretation of scripture. 3. Catechetical Instruction is also teaching folk what the word of God says with accuracy.

Learn this definition and apply it to your approach to God’s Word.

This is a Sacrisaint moment.... A sacrisaint moment means it’s of the most importance.. It’s sacrisaint to have a religious heart changing moment. Look right there in Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. again from the NCV 10 We believe with our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we declare with our mouths that we believe, and so we are saved. Now we believe with our hearts… stop That’s called Regeneration A change of heart. Heart in the Greek vernacular is the word Kardia. But Kardia is more than simply the muscle that pumps blood through our body to all of our vital organs. There’s the Physical Heart, the Psychological Heart, the Moral Heart, The Emotional Heart and there is the Religious Heart. Catechetical Instruction which is accurate systematic biblical teaching, it would demand that I teach talk and tells us that the word Heart occurs over 1,000 times and has multiple meanings depending upon the situations, the scenarios or the circumstances involved. So as an exegetical Teacher Preacher and Leader I can’t just through out there into the air any old definition and expect that the learners, the congregation, or the saints of God are being taught accurately, Rightly, and truthfully. Because the scripture can not mean today what it didn’t mean when it was written. If so then we are rewriting the scriptures and creating some off brand religion. Let me back this up with scripture Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Listen the word of Power says in Romans 10:9 that when we believe in our heart. Heart in the Greek vernacular is the word Kardia. Our kardia or our heart is what makes us righteous with God. We are in right standing with God. the point is to be in right standing with God we have to believe in God.Type in there Amen.

Start here next time!!!!!! But now thirdly you’re in even better shape when you confess with your mouth. If you truly believe something you ought to be able to tell the world what you believe in and not care what they think! Type in Amen right there. Some of us care too much about what other people think or gon say..

And here’s how I really feel “and this is only my opinion”, The last time I checked nobody but Jesus offered me salvation and security and safety and rescued me. Nobody but Jesus!!! So why are you so worried about what other people think or say. let’s move on.

The word says in the second part of verse 10 in Romans 10 and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. God wants us to tell it!! That’s why the song writer says you can’t tell it like I can tell it what the Lord has done for me! You’ve got to speak it, you’ve got to utter it, you’ve got to renunciate it, pronunciate it, and annunciate it.

In other words you’ve got to confess Jesus with your mouth.

And Then comes the sacrisaint moment when the most important thing occurs “Confession is made unto salvation.” I’m reminded of the thief on the cross who recieved salvation based on his testimony. The thief said Lord when You come into your Kingdom please remember me. and Jesus said to the thief, “today thou shalt be with Me in Paradise. The saving part comes immediately and it insures that the paradise part will come when it’s His to call and ours to answer. Well I’m out of time. I’ll see y’all Sunday morning for the big baptism.
