God exists
“how did the world come about?”

“fearfully and wonderfully made”
“saw His creation and said it was good”
know His word true, multiple fulfilled prophecy, moral system=best way of life
world of sin (doing wrong)
world without sin?
God set the world up for His morals
[R 3.23] “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”
have you ever lied? stolen? beat up someone? drugs? cheated? manipulated?
everyones lied
God will judge all of us
He is the perfect judge
God loves us
suffering
God created a perfect world in the beginning - then sin came into the world, this is the cause of suffering, fallen world
Sin must be dealt with/taken care of. how?
God has a Son, and He came in the flesh to earth
He came on a mission, to save us from our sin and the punishment that we would receive - to redeem us
Jn 3.17 “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through Him might be saved”
His name was Jesus
lived in Heaven before, came down for us
came down, lived a perfect sinless life, did no wrong
He taught us how to live, He taught us about God, and He taught us how to be saved from sin and hell
“the truth hurts” - eventually crucified for speaking the truth
When He was crucified, He took the punishment for our sin for us
“spank” analogy - - suffered greatly
was dead 3 days - rose again
He went through this for us, He came down out of heaven to suffer on earth because He loved us
Rm 6.23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord”
not only can He save us from sin and hell, but He offers us life in heaven, for free
do we take the gift? or do we reject it?
how do we accept this gift?
Jn 3.16
“whosoever believeth”
we must believe in Him and turn from our sinful ways (God will help us with that)
“God calls all men everywhere to repent”
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
We are renewed, new creatures, new life gets breathed into us, even the most sinful person
Holy Spirit indwells us - amazing!
