In Christ Jesus we're in the kingdom of light; David was not under this kingdom of light.
King James Version (Psalm 32)
And in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me:My moisture is turned into the drought of summer.
Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee,And mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
Selah.
First thing with this is David tells us that we are blessed, if our transgression is forgiven.
Then he speaks of a transgression — that he had remained silent, and that his bones had grown old; although he was silent, he groaned, he was roaring all the day and that God’s hand was heavy upon him.
Then David repents, he makes a confession and confesses his sin to God, and God forgives him.
Now, if we do not know the background of this, it may sound like what we do now under Christ Jesus’s grace, and although it does not say it, when David made this confession, he most likely had to have some blood offering — made by the high priest, at the time of his confession.
However, now in Christ Jesus, he is our blood offering, and if we confess our sin and sinfulness — Christ Jesus’s grace which was established by his death on the cross and which was established by his resurrection from the dead, we will be forgiven; if our confession is sincere!
Again, no blood offering, of a bull, for a sin offering as King David had to do, since we are now under the blood offering of Christ Jesus, his grace; so a sincere repentance is our right and true confession....
In Christ Jesus we're in the kingdom of light; David was not under this kingdom of light.
