Isn’t it Great!!!!

I’m not sure any one person realizes the full scope of what took place this past week. Workcamp involved far more than I imagined and I’m sure I only know a small part of the story. Just housing and food had to be an immense job, much less the organization of work groups, houses, tools, etc. There is no doubt that many thanks are deserved and no doubt God has been glorified through all these efforts. What a wonderful example of the value of something so simple (though difficult to administer) as paint. God has a way of taking the simple and making it provide great blessings for people.

For our youth it’s off from Workcamp and on to a Mexico mission trip to the city of children. We pray for safety, and effectiveness as they continue to show God’s love through what they do. They departed at 4:30 a.m. Friday morning and will be back this coming Friday. I can’t wait to hear about their trip! What a blessing it is to have a group of young people who inspire us old folks in so many ways. Special thanks to Jeremy and Jennifer for their work with our youth. Be sure to offer some encouragement because I’m sure after these two weeks it is well deserved and needed.

Every day we get closer and closer to making our move. We appreciate so much the school for allowing use of their facilities, and we long for the day we meet at Amity Hill Road. Our building committee, upfit, and others are working hard to make all this happen as quickly as possible. We are a patient church! We also appreciate our teachers for not just holding on, but doing a great job under difficult circumstances. A visiting family told me last week they had been attending for several weeks, and their children loved their bible classes. I couldn’t help but think, “You just wait till we get settled”! We are blessed with so much talent, love, and willingness that the sky really is the limit.

I could go on and on! Northview is a great place to be, and I’m thankful God has allowed me to be a part of such a good thing. Great days have passed, but the best is still yet to come because God is our God, and all we do is to His glory!
