That You May Know: An Assurance That Breeds Confidence Part I: (1 John 5:13-21)
Soren Kierkegaard: The Danish Philosopher/Theologian Stated the Following: “There
are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to
believe what is true.”
Sermon Idea: Because we are assured of our salvation, we can have confidence in
prayer.
Fallen Condition Focus: The (FCF) helps us to know why the Holy Spirit included this
particular passage in His Scripture. It also helps to connect us with Christians of the past,
present, and future. So, what is the FCF? How can the Christian enjoy confidence before
the Lord, despite our sinful condition, in the vital matter of prayer?
