Life Produces Belief
A friend once said to Pascal: “I wish I had your belief, so I might live your life.”
To which Pascal was swift to reply: “If you lived my life you would soon have my belief.”
Growth Process:
(1) Birth - entirely dependent
(2) Toddler - primarily dependent
(3) Pre-school - socially dependent
(4) Childhood - privately dependent
(5) Teenager - financially dependent
(6) Young Adult - morally dependent
(7) Adult - independent
Spiritually the process is similar:
(1) Born Again - entirely dependent
(2) Primarily dependent on other’s Bible knowledge
(3) Outside the church - dependent on others
(4) Privately your prayer life and Bible study deepens
(5) Faith grows and begins to see others’ needs
(6) A keen sense of discernment is developed
(7) Normal Christianity is active
Here is the relationship with Christ that produces these FRUITS in the life of a growing Christian.

I. Maturity.

“There shall not be any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life:”
Joshua 2:24; 10:8; 12:1; 21:44; 23:9

II. Maintenance.

“as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee”
Exodus 33:14; Deuteronomy 20:1; Matthew 18:20; 28:20

III. Message.

“I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee”
Exodus 13:22; Deuteronomy 31:6; I Chronicles 28:20; Psalm 94:14; II Corinthians 4:9; II Timothy 4:17; Hebrews 13:5
Conclusion:
Five Names Of Christians
Scripture gives five names to Christians—
(1) Saints—for their holiness in Christ;
(2) Believers—for their faith;
(3) Witnesses—for their testimony;
(4) Disciples—for their knowledge;
(5) Brethren—for their love for each other.
