The book of Jonah has been a favorite children’s story for generations, but it is freighted with more theological cargo than most of us realize. It tells us much more about God than it does about Jonah and what it reveals is both thrilling and sobering. It is an action / response narrative beautifully displaying God’s attributes at work to make a man more like the God he claims to serve. You will do well to read the book in advance of our exposition.
